We met in 2007 when Matt's family moved to town from across the country. I heard about the cute new boy and rumors that he was very good at playing the trumpet. Alas, Matt was NOT very good at playing the trumpet and neither was I at playing percussion...so our earliest memories were playing very poorly in the band together. Participating in band led us to making our closest friends (all of whom are in our wedding party🥹). This friend group started out as "The Elite Super Friends" and evolved into "The Elite Super Family" a few years ago after 10 years of friendship.

Our friendship was always special - whether we were partnered up for game night or making dinner together for the group, our innate compatibility was something both of us recognized. Jokingly holding hands or having Matt fake propose to me when we were younger (pic on the next page for reference!), doesn't feel like as much of a joke anymore😊 And we're very lucky to have FINALLY acknowledged our feelings for each other in 2022. Here's to embracing life's challenges together (like being in the last-placed band) and enjoying every moment with our best friend.
