We welcome you to our corner of the universe. We are proud of our town and hope that you will have an incredible experience while visiting.
Note: Phoenixville closes its streets for the weekends during the summer. The Open Air Experience is two blocks of restaurants and bars (we have more breweries per capita than anywhere in Pennsylvania). Recommend making reservations in advance as it is hard to find walk up seating. You will likely wait for an hour if you don’t have reservations. All of the Phoenixville restaurants have indoor and outdoor seating.
Parking: Street Parking can be difficult to find directly downtown. There are 3 “pay for parking” lots in the community that are pretty in expensive. However, our community (Steelpointe) has free street parking that is only a short 3-minute walk into town and about a 100-yard walk to our wedding venue, the heart of town. There is a foot bridge that you can access to get to the heart on town. You will see a Steelpoint sign in a rustic color on the intersection of N. Main & Smithworks Blvd to pull into our community.
The Residence Inn is about three miles from downtown Phoenixville. Here are a few of our favorite spots.
Breakfast:
Nudy’s – Short walk from downtown Phoenixville, parking across the street and nice breakfast food.
Sedona – Has a nice breakfast and good avocado toast
Mom’s – Great people, kind of a hole in the wall, but solid French Toast Omelets and waffles.
Coffee and Latte’s:
Soltane – Has the best Latte’s and coffee in town. Baked goods are decent…quiche is really good.
Steel City – Decent Latte’s and breakfast sandwiches…cool venue
Sweet Brew – They have unique bagels…coffee is average
Ebru – Not located in Phoenixville, about three miles from the Residence Inn. If you are feeling adventurous, take short drive to Ebru. A cool converted gas station, they make their own beans and make a latte that is insane. They also have avocado toast and incredible baked goods. Ask for Ash the barrista…then let him rock your world!
Shopping:
King of Prussia Mall (largest shopping mall in the United States) is eight miles away.
Phoenixville also has some cool shops, but not a ton of retail.
Drinks and places to hang:
Bluebird Distillery – They make their own spirits and their craft cocktails are tremendous. Everything on the menu is good. You can take a bottle to go or you can take food from a surrounding restaurant and eat your meal there while you enjoy and incredible Old Fashion or other unique cocktails.
Bistro is a fun place to grab a drink, average food, but nice outdoor seating…decent Old Fashion, with their own unique recipe. Nice beer selection.
Iron Hill – Nice beer selection, average food
Vinter’s Table – Decent local wine and cheese spot…small fare
Great American Pub – Cool place to hang, food is very average, but nice atmosphere.
Restaurants:
Kumo Sushi – Located in The Providence Town Center, less than a mile from the Residence Inn. Eric and Cassie are amazing owners. It is a BYOB restaurant (you can grab a bottle in the same shopping center at either Wegman’s or Fine Wine and Spirits about 200 feet from Kumo). We recommend the oysters, avocado – tuna tower, the Tuna Madness Roll…all really good options.
Chikara – Sushi located in Phoenixville. It is a solid sushi spot located in the heart of town. BYOB (you can grab a bottle of wine next door at Vintner’s Table). Really, no complaints about this place, we just like Kumo better, but again Kumo is located close to the Resident’s Inn and not in the heart of Phoenixville
Avlos Greek Cuisine – In the town of Phoenixville, is BYOB and great Greek food! Ask for Julia! She is our favorite waitress and will ensure you are well taken care of. The lamb chops are incredible and they have assorted fish that is always very fresh. The green tea, made from scratch is world class.
Il Granaio – Really good Italian and fresh fish. Ask for Jack the waiter, he is incredible. Really good Italian and wonderful service. Orby the owner is the best, full bar and nice selection of food. The lobster ravioli is a fav and so is the Sunday Supper.
Sedona Tap House – Cool place for drinks and dinner, nice bar, solid Old Smoked Old Fashion, solid food and large selections. Branden the waitress is a riot and she will take care of you.
Paloma Restaurant – Really nice French based restaurant with unique food. Decent bar and craft cocktails. Menu changes often, but really nice high end food in a cool setting. Luke the waiter there is a great guy and will take care of you.
Root Down Brewery – While this is a brewery they have great tacos, amazing nachos and other assorted from scratch items. While there are about ten breweries in town, if you are a beer person, this is the place of choice…cool environment and fun place.
Dim Sum – Really good Chinese food and BYOB…no frills.
