What is the dress code?
Formal Attire- can be either Indian or American. However, for the Hindu ceremony please try to avoid wearing red and for the American Ceremony and Reception please try to avoid wearing white.
Will the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors to enjoy the beautiful April weather of Texas. The reception will be held indoors.
What will your wedding day timeline look like?
There will be multiple ceremonies throughout the day, here are the expectations:
The Hindu ceremony begins with the arrival of the Barat, which will lead into the nuptials. There will be lunch provided following the ceremony. Guests will then have a break from lunch to cocktail hour allowing them to experience the resort. The cocktail hour begins at 6pm and will encompass the American ceremony. Cocktail hour will lead into the reception, which begins at 7pm in the ballroom.
Where to stay? Is there parking?
We recommend staying at the Lost Pines Resort for the lovely accommodations and multiple events taken place there throughout the day. Parking for guests staying at the resort is complimentary. If staying at The Comfort Suites Bastrop, a shuttle will be provided before and after each event. The shuttle leaves from Comfort Suites at 5:15pm. If staying elsewhere, you will have to arrange your own ride. There is plenty of parking on site but if you plan on consuming alcohol please plan for a ride. Ubers can take you to the location but due to its remote location, we recommend arranging a taxi pickup time with the front desk.
What type of food will be served?
All of the catered events will be Vegetarian. For our Swaminarayan guest, ekadashi food will be provided on Friday and OG free food on Saturday.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes, obviously I'm marrying Todd!
What will the weather be like this time of year?
The average high is 80-85 degrees.
Can I bring a plus one?
Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. Your invitations will indicate if you are welcome to bring a plus one.
Are Children Allowed?
As much as we love kids, we kindly request you take this opportunity as date night. We would really appreciate a childless event. We unfortunately also have a strict guest count and would appreciate you adhering to it.
