Quincy and Shennetta met in the modern way—online! Their story began in December 2023 on Facebook Dating, where things got off to a bumpy start. After Shennetta asked Quincy what he was looking for, he mysteriously ghosted her. But fate wasn’t done with them yet. Just a month later, they matched again—this time on Black Gentry. If you know Shennetta, you know that second meeting wasn’t as smooth as the first. She confronted him about the ghosting and pretty much told him, “Youre going to talk to me.” That bold move sparked something in Quincy—and this time, he stayed. They started getting to know each other slowly, building a friendship first. From checking on each other throughout the week to Shennetta helping Quincy recover from a cold, their connection grew naturally. Their first meetup was at a Mexican restaurant in Hiram, Georgia. If you ask Shennetta, she didn’t think she’d ever see Quincy again—his vibe was hard to read! But she kept in touch anyway. Quincy, being the gentleman he is, would send “Good morning” and “Good evening” texts regularly, and they continued learning about each other’s lives. Still, nothing too serious—yet. Their second date in February 2024 changed things. Shennetta could tell Quincy liked her, though she wasn’t sure how much. Quincy, on the other hand, says he knew from the moment he met her that they were meant to be together. At the end of that date, Shennetta went in for a kiss—and it worked. Just a little peck, but it said everything. That was when she realized the chemistry was real. Between January and March, the two shared several “friend dates,” slowly growing closer. Then came a turning point: Quincy planned a trip to Savannah to surprise his daughter, Andra, for her birthday. Kind-hearted as she is, Shennetta offered to ride with him. That trip turned into their first big test. The car broke down, had to be towed, and they ended up renting a car just to make it through. Despite the chaos, they kept each other calm. It showed them that even in tough times, they made a great team. And that’s how it all began—an unexpected connection, a few bumps along the way, and a growing love that stood strong through it all. #GettingBurroughs’D

Travels. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Message as of 3/16/26: For All Travelers Booking Flights with Delta Air Lines Due to the recent increase in fuel prices, the cost of flights is rising. If you are planning to fly with Delta Air Lines as your preferred airline to Cancun, we encourage you to go ahead and add your flights to your travel package ($150 per person) to lock in today’s market price. Adding your flights now will adjust your package price, but more importantly, it protects you from potential fare increases. If the price of the flight decreases later, your package will automatically be adjusted to reflect the lower price. With everything going on in the world right now, there is no guarantee that flight prices will decrease in the coming weeks. Locking in today’s rate may save you significantly compared to booking closer to the travel date if fuel prices continue to rise. Please disregard this message if you have already spoken with Sikedra regarding alternate flight arrangements and/or if you have already added your flights to your package.
