Sherly and Michael both met during a very challenging time for most of us, just a few months into the pandemic. They both saw each other’s pictures and swiped right. (Don’t judge us, it was the pandemic and we were both stuck at home) They then spent the next few days writing to each other until they finally decided to have their first (socially distant) date!

They met at a botanical garden called Descanso and they hit it off almost immediately. Some could say it was love at first sight. After that they made the joint decision to ride out the rest of the pandemic together.

Their shared love of nature and playful senses of humor made it easy for them to talk for hours when they first met.

What Sherly finds so special about Michael is how strongly he can love and care for others. He will go to any lengths for her happiness. What Michael finds so special about Sherly is how caring and supportive she is. How she will always be there during the good times and the challenging times.

Sherly and Michael really love their time spent together. Whether it’s going out to dinner, taking trips to the mountains, desert, the beach, visiting botanical gardens, or just having Rocky movie marathons. Occasionally he forces Sherly to watch Snoop Dogg’s “Reincarnated” and by “occasionally” we mean millions of times. (Seriously, Michael can quote that documentary word by word)

Their plans and dreams for the future include traveling in and out of the US. Eventually they hope to start a family and own a home somewhere peaceful and away from the insanity of the city.
