Our story begins with the question "Do you believe in soulmates?"

That was the writing prompt that led us to finding each other. We were two young students at Happy Valley, PA both in our junior year at Penn State, open to dating. Through a dating app, we matched with each other and went on our first date at a local sushi shop and we were both in for the ride.

For the next couple of years, we were miles apart from each other managing the thrills of dating, and creating a stronger bond with every FaceTime and visit to see each other.

We had the opportunity to live together while Sheyenne completed her graduate degree, further solidifying our love and commitment to one another.

While on vacation, celebrating Sheyenne's white coat celebration, in Cozumel, Mexico, I got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. She said yes! without any hesitation and we have been planning the rest of our lives ever since!
