13 days before Nicholas’ prom in 2014, he had just broken up with his girlfriend and was looking for another date (LOL). That’s when he thought of me! We had been working together at McDonald’s for a few months, so one sunny afternoon Nick decided to shoot his shot. He came in on his day off and walked out back to where I was taking orders for drive-thru. At first, I thought he was going to ask me to cover one of his shifts. But when he said, “Shi’anne, do you want to go to prom with me?” butterflies instantly coated the inside of my belly. I couldn’t believe he picked me.
Although we didn’t start dating until July 9th, June 4th was the start of our journey together and the date of our wedding “10 years from when it all started.” 🤍
