It’s kind of like a journey up the mountain with twists and turns and bushes and snakes but you know, when you reach the top, oh how beautiful and worth it the journey was. The base of the hike started at “the Donut Shop” as everyone called it. He hired me because “who wouldn’t want to by a donut from her?” Late nights, whip cream fights in the back, rides home - that’s where it started. She dated the rebel boy. Had a wild child, no drivers license, rap sheet a mile long, and yet, the sweetest boy with the largest heart that I could see. We moved in together 2 years later in the hood, to the only people who would give us a chance. There we experienced all of our ups and downs that shaped us to who we are today. I truely grown in this stage as a step mother figure and dog mom and Easton grew through his own personal battles that gave me the most headaches. Most of the snakes, huge boulders, tough climbs - they were in this stage. Those 6 years were the foundation of us. Once you climbed up enough to where you could kind of see the top - (we bought our first home) and here - we acquired another dog and came up with our life long goals. Easton proposed April 2024, of course I said yes and we decided to elope to Colorado and tied the knot on August 8th, 2024. Our 10 year anniversary. After we got back home we decided to move into our MILs house right next to my grandmas house and decide to build on their property. Homesteading is where we were meant to be and having a little commune is our dream come true. Can’t wait to celebrate with all our friends and family celebrating our journey so very soon! 11 years - WILD! But looking down from the top of this mountain, it’s truly beautiful. Worth the journey and the hike to the top, FOR SURE!
