When and where is the reception?
We were officially married in June during a small ceremony in Hawaii! Our reception is on September 13th, 2025 at 5 PM, in the Hearthside Room of Canonsburg at 6800 Cannonsburg Rd., Belmont, MI. It's a joyful celebration of our marriage with dinner, dessert, dancing, and all of you.
What should I wear?
Hawaii vibes encouraged! Think breezy fabrics, bold prints, floral everything! Whatever feels festive and comfortable. No formal wear necessary. Bonus points if your outfit makes you want to sway a little.
Will there be a photo booth?
Yes! And we'd *love* for you to participate. It prints photos on the spot, so you'll get to take home a memento of the night. Bring your best smiles, silliest faces, and favorite people! We can't wait to see what you capture.
Are you registered anywhere?
We're grateful to have everything we need at home already. If you'd like to celebrate with a gift, we'd be honored by donations to one of these causes that mean a lot to us:
- The Trevor Project: https://www.thetrevorproject.org
- Grand Rapids Trans Foundation: https://grtransfoundation.com
- AYA Youth Collective: https://www.ayayouth.org
There's also a small registry on our site if you prefer something tangible.
What kind of food will be served?
We've made sure there will be gluten-free and vegetarian options, and all desserts will be gluten free and vegan-- because we love sweets that *everyone* can enjoy. If you have other dietary needs, just let us know when you RSVP and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes! The Hearthside Room is wheelchair accessible, including nearby parking and a flat entrance. You'll find more details on accessibility under the "Getting There" section. If you need specific accommodations, please reach out-- we want everyone to feel comfortable and welcome.
Can I bring a guest / my kids?
Please check your invitation envelope. We've indicated whether your invite includes a guest or little ones. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out! We've planned this event to be joyful and low-key, so kids are welcome unless otherwise noted.
Will there be dancing?
Absolutely! We've got a playlist full of songs we love and plenty of room to move. Whether you're someone who dances barefoot until midnight or someone who only grooves when no one's watching-- you'll find your place on the dance floor. Or near it. Or cheering from your seat with a dessert in hand. All dance styles welcome.
