Makenna - Bridesmaid
Makenna and I met back in middle school on the track team. She was always so fierce and bold, honestly, a little intimidating at first! But we became close so quickly, and throughout high school, she was my right hand. We’ve always shared a bond that’s hard to put into words and impossible to compare to anyone else. She truly understands me, and I know without a doubt that she’d go to war for me if it ever came down to it.
Makenna is the person I can talk to about absolutely anything without fear of judgment. She always listens with understanding and has a way of grounding me when I need it most. I don’t think I would’ve made it through high school without her by my side. We’ve made so many amazing memories, including the time she almost died during our trip to Canada (sorry again for pouring water on you!).
Even though our lives look different now and she’s all the way in Tennessee, distance has never changed our friendship. No matter how long it’s been, we always pick up right where we left off, and I think that’s the beauty of what we share. I’m so grateful to have her by my side through every chapter of life.
Amiah - Bridesmaid
Amiah and I go way back...literally. We first met in North Carolina, where both of our dads were in the military together, and fun fact: our siblings were born just a day apart! Her mom was actually in the hospital room right next to my mom when my brother was born. From North Carolina, Amiah moved to upstate New York… which also happened to be where I was living (clearly, she couldn’t live without me). She was only in New York for a year before moving to Maryland, but even then, our friendship never faded.
A few years later, when I moved to Virginia, our paths crossed once again, maybe this time I couldn’t live without her! I texted her to meet up in a college party town, and that night we had the absolute best time ever. Since then, we’ve been inseparable. Amiah brings out the most fun, carefree side of me. We can be complete goofballs together and never care who’s watching. It’s always a good time when we’re together.
She’s such a bright light in my life, outgoing, genuine, and full of love for everyone around her. Amiah is the kind of friend everyone needs: honest, loyal, and never afraid to tell you the truth, even when it’s hard to hear. She encourages me to stand up for myself and always shares her wisdom with so much heart.
I’m so grateful that our paths keep crossing no matter where life takes us. One day, I’m convinced we’ll end up as neighbors — it just seems meant to be. I’m beyond thankful to have her in my corner, always.
Pri - Bridesmaid
Pri and I met in college when I moved to Texas, she happened to live in the dorm right next to mine! We actually met virtually through a group chat our graduating class created before the semester even started, and we instantly clicked. On move-in day, I asked her to come over to my dorm. I was nervous being so far from home without my family or friends, and I wasn’t sure how easily I’d make new ones. But that worry disappeared the moment I met Pri.
From that first night, we talked for hours about our lives, our majors, and everything in between. From that day forward, we were inseparable — walking to class together, skipping class together, eating at the dining hall, going to parties, and even telling everyone we met that we were sisters!
Pri quickly became my home away from home. She’s one of the most caring, kindhearted, and genuine people I’ve ever met. She even invited me to her home for Thanksgiving, where I met her amazing family. We’ve shared countless memories and laughter, and even after I moved back home, we never lost touch.
Pri has had such a lasting impact on my life — she’s actually the reason I decided to pursue my Master’s in I-O Psychology! She’s been by my side through every high and low of early adulthood, and I’ll forever be grateful for her unwavering love, wisdom, and friendship. I’m so lucky to have such a strong, beautiful woman by my side, always.
Diya - Bridesmaid
Diya and I also met in college, and from the very beginning, she brought such a spontaneous and lively energy into my life. She’s the type of person who will do anything that comes to mind just for the fun of it, and somehow, it always turns into a great story. Our friendship has always been full of laughter and adventure; she’s truly the yin to my yang. Sometimes I just sit back and watch her wild ideas unfold, but most of the time, I’m right there with her, joining in on the chaos.
I used to be her go-to for relationship advice, especially when it came to those dating apps — and we’ve shared countless hilarious conversations because of it. And of course, I have to mention our inside joke: Sanjay (only a select few will get that one, haha!).
All jokes aside, Diya is one of the most amazing people I know. She’s fun, carefree, and full of light. I’m so grateful that we met early in life and that our friendship has continued to grow stronger over the years. She truly makes life brighter, and I’m so thankful to have her by my side.
Lexi - Bridesmaid
Lexi and I met when I was living in Texas. Our families were always getting together for parties and events, and since our parents were good friends, it was only natural that we became good friends too. From putting on dance shows in the living room to begging our parents for sleepovers, we’ve shared so many amazing memories growing up together.
Even after I moved away, Lexi never stopped being there for me. No matter the distance or how much time passed, she’s always supported me through every step of life. She brings out such a fun, carefree side of me, and being around her always feels like home.
I was lucky enough to stand by her side as a bridesmaid in her wedding, and now it feels like such a full-circle moment to have her by mine. Lexi truly is the light of my life, so full of joy, laughter, and love. I’m beyond grateful for our friendship and can’t wait to make even more memories together.
Oh, and if you see any impressive dance moves at the wedding, you can thank Lexi for those! She’ll be in charge of making sure everyone hits the dance floor (and does it right!).
Jessica - Bridesmaid
Jessica and I met back in middle school, and she quickly became one of my best friends throughout both middle and high school. We did absolutely everything together, countless sleepovers, endless laughter, and even being each other’s dance dates (especially when Zane couldn’t go with me). She’s been by my side through so many stages of life, and we’ve shared more memories than I can count.
One of my favorite memories with Jessica was the night she stayed over at my house, and we decided to sneak out at 2 a.m. to meet a boy she liked. We crawled through my bedroom window and walked through the woods to the park like it was the most normal thing in the world. That’s just who Jessica is — carefree, adventurous, and always down for a good time.
Over the years, we’ve continued to stay close, and no matter how much time passes, she’ll always have a special place in my heart. I’m so grateful for her friendship and for all the memories we’ve created together, and I can’t wait to make even more as we celebrate this next chapter of life.
Mimansha - Bridesmaid
I met Mimansha when I was living in Texas, and from the very beginning, we shared such a fun and special connection. She was my dance partner, and we would always beg our parents for sleepovers just so we could stay up late, laugh endlessly, and put on dance performances in the living room for them to watch. Those memories will always hold a special place in my heart.
Over the years, our bond has only grown stronger. Mimansha feels like a little sister to me, someone I constantly want to look out for and make sure she knows she can always come to me for anything. She’s one of the most caring, kindhearted, and genuinely funny people I’ve ever met. She has this amazing way of making everyone around her laugh, and I can always count on her to lift my mood no matter what.
I’m so thankful for the beautiful friendship we’ve built and for all the memories we’ve shared. I can’t wait to have her by my side and to celebrate this special day together.
Ryan - Groomsman
I’ve known Ryan for a while, but we really became close around the COVID days. Ryan is one of the most genuine and funniest people I know—and someone I’d trust without hesitation if it ever came down to it. Random fact about Ryan: I still have no idea how he can drink as much as he does, but I’m pretty sure no one I know could ever keep up with him.
I still remember the very first time we hung out—meeting up at the hotel he was staying at and just driving around the block, listening to music. Then again, in upstate New York, that’s about all there is to do!
Ryan is the kind of person who always puts others before himself, making sure everyone else is good before worrying about his own needs. We’ve shared so many fun and hilarious memories over the years, and I’m truly grateful to have him not only as a groomsman but as a great friend in my life.
Sean - Groomsman
I’ve known Sean since high school, but we really started getting close around 2020. Sean is hands down one of the funniest people I know—he can turn any situation into something to laugh about. Some of my favorite memories are the late nights we’d stay up talking until 5 a.m. about childhood stories and all the nostalgic moments from back in the day (something we still do, honestly).
Even though Sean likes to act like he doesn’t care, deep down he’s one of the most caring people you’ll ever meet. He always looks out for others and makes sure everyone around him is doing okay before himself. Sean has always felt more like a brother than just a friend, and I’m really grateful to have him standing by my side as a groomsman and as a lifelong friend.
Shohan - Groomsman
I have watched Shohan grow from a little kid to an adult and it is the craziest thing in the world. It still feels like he is this little kid arguing with Shireen by their pool in black river. Shohan is one of the most driven and focused people I know. If he has a dream, a goal, or a aspiration, he never fails to chase it and achieve it. He has a extremely bright future ahead of him and Im hoping when he becomes the next Leonardo DiCaprio, he can buy me a house. One thing Im still unsure of is that one day I was taller than Shohan, and the next I have to break my neck to look up at him. It feels like it happened overnight. Im so thankful to have Shohan as a groomsmen and a brother in law and I'm glad Shireen has a brother like him in her life to support her.
