What to do in the morning in San Miguel?

Take a stroll in the heart of downtown San Miguel and enjoy a delicious breakfast at Cumpanio located on Correo #29, Centro. Other breakfast and coffee recommendations are: ● Panina - Our favorite for coffee and delicious bread - 15 min walk from downtown ● Jacques - Great coffee, grilled cheese and egg sandwiches - Downtown ● Garambullo - Our favorites are the huarache de cecina and chilaquiles - Downtown ● Luna de Queso - Amazing vegan and vegetarian options, not open on Sundays - 25 min walk from downtown ● Rustica - Delicious mexican food - 25 min walk from downtown ● Lavanda - Most famous coffee shop, try the lavender infused latte. What to do after breakfast and morning hours?

If you’d rather walk around and admire our beautiful architecture, San Miguel is a World Heritage Site and is looking more beautiful every day. Some local walking tours you could do are: ● Original Downtown Food Tour with Taste of San Miguel ● Tacos and Tequila Food Walking Tour in San Miguel de Allende ● Historical and Cultural Walking Tour of San Miguel de Allende If you’d rather walk on your own, we recommend visiting our local markets and shops, where you’ll enjoy all the color and the smell of México. (Galleries are listed below.) ● Mercado de Artesanías - (The Artisan Market) is open daily from 9 am until 7 pm. Each stall is overloaded with hand-crafted items. Jewelry stalls sell pendants and rings, some of which are made from local stones such as Mexican jade or shaped like skulls. Hand-painted, traditional Mexican ceramics are piled high alongside hanging lamps and Oaxacan rugs and clothing. Even the souvenirs at touristy stalls are hand-painted ● La Casa de Vidrio - Mexican Blown Glass shop that has the largest and beautiful amazing selection in town. ● Maria Brunel. This rooftop bar still manages to be somewhat a hidden gem mainly because it has no sign, and to find it you go through the front door to the ground floor restaurant Pueblo Viejo. Be sure to try the Frozen Margarita y jicama shrimp taco!
