Savannah provides a FREE Transportation service called DOT. Below are the details for the express shuttle. If you are staying within their route it is recommended to utilize this service as parking can be difficult and pricey.

* Monday through Friday 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Runs every 10 minutes.

* Get on and off at any of 37 stops around the Historic District.

* Connects to municipal parking facilities, Visitor Centers, Streetcar and Ferry.

* Free Wi-Fi

* ADA-Accessible

* Pet Policy – Only service animals are permitted on the Express Shuttle.

Here’s some important info you all need to know about PARKING. Virtually the entire area is metered, Depending upon where you are in the historic district charges are $1-$2/hour and are charged 8am-8pm or 8am-5pm.

Starting Friday at 5pm the Bryant garage (and maybe others) charge $5 for in and out time. You can stay as long as you want but if you leave and come back youll be charged $5 again. The garages at Whittaker East and Wharf are $10 for in/out starting Fridays at 5pm.

For parking at your VRBO, Starland Yard Friday night event and wedding at Cha Bella, you can pay via your phone (QR codes located on meters).

If youre in town before Friday at 5pm you can get Visitor Day Passes (VDP) at Mobility & Parking Services located in the Bryan Street Parking Garage, at 100 East Bryan Street. Be aware they CLOSE at 5pm.  The VDP is prepaid and will cover any metered location in the city other than what’s noted below. Purchasing this pass you don’t have to be aware of where the $1 vs $2/hr  streets are located or remember the metered hours.
    ◦    VDP’s are valid for on-street parking. 
    ◦    VDP’s are not valid in city owned parking garages, street sweeping zones, signs posted.
    ◦    To purchase a VDP you must provide your license plate number/state on the vehicle.
One day 24-hr pass is $15 and a two day 48-hr pass is $24.
