What started as a swipe on a dating app quickly turned into something that felt like fate. James and I matched online — but it didn’t take long to discover we already had mutual friends.

Our first date was at a cozy little Italian restaurant in Athens. The night began with a surprise however— not from the menu, but from me pulling up in a my brand new at the time LARGE Truck.... that left him a little speechless. That moment sparked a curiosity and connection that only grew as we talked the night away. Conversation flowed so naturally that we didn’t want it to end — so it didn’t. I followed James back to his house to meet one of the other loves of his life: his dog. That night, something unmistakably real had begun.

In two months, we had already created a bond strong enough to take on a trip together — a romantic getaway to the mountains, where we officially became a couple.

Fast forward to December 2024, after a joyful Giancola family Christmas party, James led me in the cold into a magical scene in Slippery Rock, PA. Under the soft glow of twinkle lights and surrounded by the warm flicker of candles, he asked me to spend forever with him. And I said yes.

From a dating app to buying our first farm together, we are ready to continue building a life together.
