Our Wedding

We met the modern way — on Hinge! One swipe right turned into something special. Since then, we’ve survived a global pandemic, started new careers, traveled lots, and purchased our first home together. In between those big moments, our life has been full of boating on Little Muskego Lake, spontaneous adventures near and far, plenty of laughter, and time with the people (and pups!) we love most. We’re so grateful for all the love and support around us, and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter — saying “I do” on May 22, 2026, at the Villa Terrace in Milwaukee, surrounded by our favorite people (and maybe a few questionable dance moves).

My name is Jake Maciosek. Josh and I first met at Mill Valley Elementary school in Muskego, Wisconsin when we were just six years old. Growing up as neighbors, we shared countless interests like swimming, skateboarding, filmmaking sledding, and kayaking.
From the start, our personalities clicked, and that bond has only grown stronger over the years. I'm grateful for the lifelong friendship Josh & I have, and I couldn't be happier to celebrate him and Shyla!

Hey, Kaitlyn here! Shy and I met the first few days of college and our coincidental, frequent run-ins with one another made it feel like fate for a lifelong friendship. Who knew that literally running into each other at the gym would lead to being college roommates, routine travel companions and now getting to stand alongside you on your special day. Let’s get our girl married!

My name is Dan. I met Josh through my wife Katie. Josh is a great guy, fun to be around, easy to talk to, and will be a great husband to Shyla. I really enjoy fishing with Josh as he knows his stuff and can teach me a thing or two about fishing. Shyla is a very caring and a kind person who has always been a good friend to my wife.

I’m Lanie! I’ve known Shyla since ~7th grade (thanks to Faith!), and we clicked instantly. For the better part of the next decade I basically lived at the Robinson household - so much so that Papa Rob called me his second daughter 👯‍♀️ I’ll always cherish those years and the mischief we got into… even if I’m still a little surprised we lived to tell the tale. I like to think they built character 😉

My name is Neil, I am newly married to my beautiful wife Alison. Josh and I had originally met through a mutual friend (David) while playing online fortnite. We started hanging out on the regular. We enjoy golfing, drinking, boating, and going on vacations together. Josh, Jake, David, and myself have became closer friends throughout the years. I was very excited when Josh had asked me to be a part of his special day. I'm even more excited for Josh and Shyla and their future together.

Nearly 20 years ago, I was the new kid in 5th grade at North Elementary school in Crystal Lake, IL. Shyla and I met at recess on my very first day and we’ve been sisters ever since! I truly don’t know what I would have done without my life long best friend throughout all these years. It is an honor to be by her side while she gets married to the love of her life, Josh. ♥️

I met the beautiful bride-to-be in 6th-grade homeroom, where we instantly clicked over a silly question I asked her. From that moment on, she’s been one of my dearest friends. From school days to weddings, she’s been a constant in my life, and I’m so honored to be a part of her big day! I’m so beyond excited to celebrate the future Mr. and Mrs. Gonda!

Josh and David met as colleagues in 2018, but their friendship blossomed when they discovered a common interest in Fortnite. Countless hours of gaming led to an extensive friendship, resulting in annual Florida trips, numerous rounds of golf, boat days, and other fun hangouts with the boys.

Connor first met Josh in high school through shared friend groups, and they reconnected after college. Over the years they've built a great friendship filled with countless memories - from beer Olympics and fight nights to plenty more adventures.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Shyla since she was just 14 years old. She and my daughter were high school classmates and teammates on the tennis team. Over the years, Shyla became a regular at our home—family gatherings, sleepovers, shared meals—she truly felt like a second daughter to us.

Fast forward to 2021, when my daughter hosted a Friendsgiving at our house. That’s when we met Josh. From the moment we saw them together, we knew Shyla had found someone special. Their connection was undeniable.

I later had the chance to work with Josh at Insperity, mentoring him on building strategic sales teams and mastering conversations that close business. It gave me an even deeper appreciation for the kind of person he is—driven, thoughtful, and genuine.

Today, both Shyla and Josh aren’t just friends; they’re family. We’ve shared countless memories—boating adventures, discovering new restaurants, game nights filled with laughter. Every moment with them is a gift.

So, I look forward to marrying them at their wedding. I am over the moon to play even a small part in celebrating their love and the beautiful life they’re building together

Located in the heart of Milwaukees downtown theater district Saint Kate offers panoramic views of the city, fine-dining restaurant options, a 24-hour business center and free WiFi. The Marcus Performing Arts Center is a 2 minutes walk away. Every room at the Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel provides a flat-screen cable TV and a work desk with an ergonomic chair. service is available from 7-11am and 5-10pm. Saint Kate - The Arts Hotel offers three onsite restaurants and two bars. There is a rotating art exhibit in the lounge area and throughout the hotel Cathedral Square Park is 4 blocks away from the hotel. Milwaukee Art Museum is a 5-minute drive away. Fiserv Forum is a 9 minutes walk from the hotel.

Transportation &amp; Parking We want getting to and from the celebration to feel simple and stress-free 🤍 Shuttle Service For your convenience, a shuttle will be available to and from Villa Terrace from the listed hotels. Guests are welcome to park in the Saint Kate parking garage and take the shuttle directly to the venue. If you are staying overnight at Saint Kate, Aloft, or another hotel and would like to use the shuttle, please contact Shyla so arrangements can be coordinated. At the end of the evening, the shuttle will run at designated times to bring guests back to Saint Kate and the participating hotels. The Lakefront café of Colectivo Coffee occupies the charming, historic River Flushing Station. With its sweeping patio and cratered views of Lake Michigan, it’s as visual as it is flavorful—offering fresh, locally roasted coffee, house-made pastries, and all-day breakfast. This café isn’t just scenic—it’s also where Josh and Shyla shared their first date, bringing their dogs along and spending time together in the outdoor beer garden by the lake.

This bustling landmark in the Historic Third Ward is home to the Milwaukee Public Market, a lively hub filled with local vendors, fresh food stalls, and artisan goods. It’s a place that hums with energy—smells of spices, roasted coffee, and baked bread mingle with the chatter of shoppers and friends gathering at communal tables. For Shyla, the market is more than just a favorite Milwaukee destinations—it’s where she worked during her years at UWM, behind the counter of the West Allis Cheese &amp; Sausage Shoppe. Later, it became one of the spots where she and Josh would frequent, sharing food and exploring the 3rd ward together. What was once a part-time job during school soon turned into a special place in their story, marking the early days of their relationship in the heart of the city.

Perched on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee Art Museum is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Its striking white architecture, designed in part by Santiago Calatrava, features the famous “wings” of the Burke Brise Soleil, which open and close over the glass atrium. Inside, the museum houses a collection of over 30,000 works of art, ranging from classic to contemporary, and offers sweeping lakefront views that make it as much a cultural treasure as a visual one.
