How It All Began

Beta Fraternity House, UW Friends Alex Kirk (Bridesmaid) and Cameron Gregg (Groomsman) introduce Siana and Mike. Sorry to all you fairytale believers but it wasn't love at first sight.

FALL 2008: Boy Meets Girl

University of Washington Intramural FieldsMike and Siana played UW intramural soccer together. This is when sparks officially started to fly. Siana discovered the short cut of telling the twins a part. Spoiler alert: Brian has a mole on his face.

Spring 2009: Teammates

1842 22nd Street Seattle, WASiana hosted an end of the season intramural soccer team party. The whole team said they would be there except for Mike. Siana was very disappointed that he was not coming. But, he showed up! He came straight from a Construction Management event and looked so handsome dressed in his suit and tie. Insert the butterflies.That night Siana and Mike had their first kiss and it was magical. Or at least that's how their tequila brains are remembering it. Siana left early the next morning to go home to San Diego for Summer.

June 2009: Thanks Tequila

Encinitas, CASiana and Mike kept in touch. They quickly began talking on the phone or texting everyday. Siana casually invited Mike to visit. It was one of those half invites, hoping he would actually come visit even though she was confident he wouldn't. Mike decided to take a leap of faith and visit Siana in San Diego.

August 2009: Summer Love

1952 22nd Street Seattle, WASiana returns from summer in San Diego. They missed each other. Mike says to Siana "Si, will you be my girlfriend?" What a gentleman. She said "yes" and they officially started dating.

September 2009: “Will you be my girlfriend”

UW Medical Center Hospital BedSiana was very sick so Mike took her to the UW Medical Center. Hospitals are one of Siana's least favorite places. Mike was sitting next to Siana's hospital bed with her hand in his. Worried that he would never get the opportunity to express how he truly felt, Mike got Siana's attention and said "I love you." Her response: "I love you too… but you know I'm going to be okay, right?"

October 2010: The First “I Love You”

Manhattan Beach, CAAfter being in a long distance relationship for almost four years, Mike and Siana moved into their first place together. They are so excited to be able to see each other everyday.

March 2015: Roommates

John Muir Trail, CA Mike embarked on quite the journey, a 5 day 4 night backpacking trip with Siana's family of five. What a brave man... He survived and he loved it!

June 2015: Into the Wilderness

Mammoth Lakes, CA After getting Greg's permission, Mike did not waste any time. He literally proposed less than 24 hours later. Here is how it happened...Greg, Lori, Julia , Mike, Siana and Guinness puppy went on a scenic hike together. The whole hike, Mike was looking for the perfect spot to propose. There were plenty of options but he could not get Siana to slow down her speedy hiking pace. With the ring loose in his short pocket, he was desperate to get it on her finger. The hike ended and he had missed every opportunity for a scenic proposal. So, Mike got down on bended knee in the parking lot of Lake Mary campground and asked Siana to marry him. Guess what? She said, "YES!"

August 30, 2015: “Will you marry me?”

Siana and Mike say "I Do" and officially start their lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Mayer.Thank you for being a part of the next chapter of our love story!Who knows what the future will bring?

THE BEST SISTER ANYONE COULD ASK FOR! We are polar opposites personality wise. We grew up in the same room together and we had our fair share of sibling rivalry. As adults, we are best friends and get withdrawals if we don't see each other regularly.Favorite pastimes: Beach time, yoga, cooking, farmer's markets, coffee in bed, being outside, and pretty much everything/anything else that we can do together

First Met 2008: UW Freshman Year,  McCarty Hall, we were really lucky to be paired up as roommates in the dorms. It was love at first sight. We were roommates all 4 years at UW.Favorite Pastimes: Watching Rom-Coms (Romantic Comedies), eating candy, napping, and snuggling

First Met 2008: Freshman on the UW Soccer team, we first bonded together by watching the movie Center Stage on a bus ride and ended up being roommates for 2 years at UW.Favorite Pastimes: Running Greenlake, coffee dates, Drinking red wine by candlelight

First Met 2008: UW soccer, we quickly became friends when we realized we were basically sisters and similar humans. As a joke, I call Kirk my "Big" and she calls me her "Little" as if we are sorority sisters (we never quite understood the whole Greek System thing). Favorite Pastimes: Laughing, listening to Taylor Swift, wrestling and making fun of each other

First Met 2008: Freshman on UW Soccer, we quickly became ginger friends! Kari is the most competitive person I have ever met. We first bonded over an intense game of ping pong during preseason soccer our Freshman year. She beat me (barely, I may have let her win, just kidding Kari). Favorite Pastimes: Eating ice cream, bar games, being spontaneous, hiking and adventuring

First Met 2004: Freshmen in High School on TPHS tennis. We became friends after we created the TPHS tennis doubles dream team and co-captained the team together. Joy is one of the most patient people I know and I can't belive she has put up with me all these years (on and off the court).Favorite Pastimes: Playing tennis, eating breakfast at Stratford Cafe, and sleepovers

First Met 2005: Torrey Pines High School Varsity Soccer, Cammie was the laid back upper classman soccer super star that I looked up to. Even though she is way cooler than I am we still became friends somehow. She likes to be outside just as much as I do!Favorite pastimes: Beach volleyball, acai bowls, bike riding, hiking and Mammoth trips!

First Met 1992: PRESCHOOL!!! Megan is my oldest friend. We were nicknamed "Tweedle-Dee" and "Tweedle- Dum" as youngsters and it is still up for debate who is "Dee" and who is "Dum". We quickly became great friends and ended up being roommates for 3 years at UW.Favorite Pastimes: cooking, having heart-to-hearts, dancing, drinking Croatian moonshine

First Met 2002: Teammates and co-captains on Rancho Santa Fe Attack Soccer Team.  I remember being so excited to see Kelsey at every soccer practice. Even though we did not go to the same schools we were quite the dynamic duo once together. Kelsey is so much fun to be around and lights up any room with her energy. We also have a common love of gnomes. Favorite Pastimes: laughing, snowboarding, beach time and margaritas
