Josh and Sidney met in 6th grade through a confrontation that had Josh thinking "love at first sight," but Sidney...not so much. After a couple years of friendship, it was apparent their relationship was something more. In eighth grade, Josh mustered the nerve to ask Sidney to be his girlfriend. She was so nervous that she responded to her long-term crush with, "I have to ask my parents." She accepted his offer on March 22, 2016.

Unfortunately, this chapter of their love story ended early in 2017 after some unresolved awkwardness of being young and in their first relationship.

In 2018, Sidney and Josh's feelings reignited. On December 5, a new chapter of their story began. The couple has been able to celebrate and enjoy many of life's events and phases together: two proms, three graduations, many vacations, living independently, and now an engagement.

Josh "popped the question" on August 12, 2023, during a trip to Michigan City. Of course . . . she said YES!! Now, after celebrating five anniversaries, the happy couple is excited to take the next step in marriage.
