Our Story

Sienna’s Perspective

Evan and I met at Willy's Bagels. I always dreamed of meeting my future husband in a romantic way and God definitely delivered! I was behind the counter when this super cute guy walked in and immediately I ran to the register to meet him. Mind you this was the year 2020, so I was unable to see half of his face, but it was love at first sight, he was cool, charming, and sweet. Once that moment was over I was so mad that neither of us had the guts to make a move. Right when he walked out of that bagel shop I was on a mission to find this man! Brentwood is a crazy small town so I was able to find his Instagram that day and message him. Our first date was the only other place open Mod Pizza, and we talked for over 4 hours and we wished we had more. After that, it was so obvious that God couldn't have picked out two people that are more fit for each other.

Evan’s Perspective

Believe it or not, my story started a week before meeting Sienna. It was about 2 in the morning and I was still awake listening to music and cleaning my room. For some reason, I felt a wave of loneliness that I’ve never felt before. Instead of stewing in my own sadness, I decided to take the time to pray. It was a long prayer where I defined every single quality I wanted in a woman and how I was ready to meet my wife. This was a prayer I expected God to answer maybe in a year, but little did I know it was going to be much sooner. This was during the peak of the Covid pandemic and most local businesses were struggling. I saw an Instagram post that compelled me to walk into our local bagel shop, Willy’s. When I first walked in and I was ready to give my order, I was greeted by the most amazing woman I have ever met in my life. With only half of her face showing, the other half being covered by a mask, I had only her eyes to look at. When looking into her eyes, it felt like a dream. I tried my best to play it cool but I was really nervous on the inside. After some small talk and giving her my order, I sat down and waited for my food to be ready. I was attempting to hype myself up to muster up the courage and get her number. When the moment finally came, I panicked and grabbed my food, and left. I remember thinking in the car “Could this be the Christian woman I prayed about?”. A few hours passed and I couldn’t shake the feeling I had. I decided to reach out to my cousin who’s close friend used to work at Willy’s. It felt like nothing was going to come of it until later that night I received an Instagram follow request. I was blown away and so happy that my cousin found a way to tell this mysterious bagel shop worker who I was. Little did I know it was not my cousin after all, she was actually looking for me at the same time. I then decided to shoot her a quick Instagram DM to say hello. I never would have guessed that walking into a bagel shop, having a girl take my order, and then later sending her a DM would result in me meeting my future wife.
