Things to do at the Resort

See Guest Directory under Q+A for more resort details

There is so much to do at this resort! Below are some of our favorites but there is a lot more that would have been too much to list.

Saltwater Lagoon & Beach

Enjoy a tropical adventure at Hilton Waikoloa Village’s very own salt-water lagoon and white-sand beach. Teeming with tropical fish and rare green sea turtles (called honu in Hawaiian), the four-acre ocean fed lagoon is a protected oasis perfect for snorkeling and swimming.

An Amazing Art Collection

Discover our resort art collection, which consists of works from Asian, Western, and Oceanic cultures – with more than 1800 unique pieces. We celebrate our cultural heritage and hope that through an appreciation of its art, we all can gain a greater understanding and insight into life in Hawaii.

Four tour areas make for a true museum-style experience. That's why we call it the Museum Walkway!

The Oceanic Art tour takes about 15-30 minutes and features art and artifacts from the Oceanic Region: Polynesia and Melanesia. Start from Makai Tower and walk towards the Main Lobby.

The Asian and Southeast Asian Art tour covers works from China, Thailand, Burma and Indonesia, plus the Hawaiian galleries. You’ll want to block off 30-45 minutes for this tour. Begin at the Main Lobby and walk towards Palace Tower.

The East Meets West tour features art from Asia, Japan, Polynesia and Europe. Approximate tour time is 20-35 minutes. Begin at Palace Tower and walk towards Ocean Tower.

Lastly, the Side Trips tour includes artwork found along the Ocean Walkway from Buddha Point to Kamuela Provision Co., inside the grand atrium at Palace Tower, around the Convention Center and Grand Staircase, and at various restaurants such as the gardens surrounding Nui Italian and inside Kamuela Provision Co.

Golf

The championship golf courses at the Waikoloa Beach Resort were designed by well-known course architects, and with an oceanfront setting, our beautiful property provides the ideal destination for an unforgettable Big Island golf vacation. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, you’ll find the challenge exhilarating – and the scenery breathtaking.
