Our Wedding

Zachary and Sierra met a college party. One thing led to another and&nbsp;they started dating... three years later!&nbsp;

He first asked her out after his quartet's barbershop concert in the spring of 2015, right before Zack's graduation from Michigan State. Sierra followed suit a year later, graduating in the spring of 2016. Later in 2016, Sierra and Zack both accepted positions within their fields&nbsp;in Minneapolis and made the move across the Midwest. Over the years, they've traveled all over the country, helped each other through the struggles of young adulthood,&nbsp;and celebrated everything from 21st birthdays to MSU&nbsp;victories together.



Then on December 1, 2018, after about three and a half years of dating, Zack popped the question!&nbsp;Zack surprised Sierra with HopCat (a little bit of Michigan) and outdoor ice skating in the snow (a little bit of Minnesota). After skating Zack took Sierra around the corner to a restaurant patio with string lights and got down on one knee. Safe to say she said yes, and that brings us to now!

We're excited to invite our family and friends to our wedding on January 25, 2020, 30 years after both of our parents were married, to celebrate the start of our forever.

Tara and Sierra&nbsp;met their freshman year at MSU when they were&nbsp;paired up as roommates, and Sierra couldn't have gotten luckier.&nbsp;Tara and Sierra have been close ever since, despite living various distances across the country through the years.&nbsp;

As Zachary's "little"&nbsp;brother, it was Connor's job to bother and torment him throughout his life. As they've gotten older, they've bonded closer over sports and beer. Connor will be a Senior at Georgetown this fall.

Taryn and Sierra were introduced through their significant others, and have become close friends through their shared love of baking, furry friends, and Catch Phrase.

Brad Baker is Sierra's little brother. Zack is excited to share this day with the people closest to Sierra, and is excited to gain another brother!

Sarah and Sierra also met at MSU freshman year and ended up becoming roommates their sophomore years. Their shared love of Pinterest and stalking baseball players has continued into adulthood where they've stayed close despite the distance between Michigan and Minnesota.

Doug was Zack's director in the Great Northern Union barbershop chorus, and are both music educators in Minnesota. They both enjoy good gin, good whiskey, and good music.

Zachary's sister and Sierra's future sister in law. Sierra and Paige only have brothers and are both very&nbsp;excited to finally get a sister, even though we can't share shoes.

Eddie and Zack met through the Great Northern Union chorus but became close friend through the supporter's group for Minnesota United. Since Eddie has moved to Florida, they've kept close through videogames and constantly talking soccer.

We will have shuttles to bring guests to and from the wedding from our hotel blocks. Note: pickup will be in front of the Grand Hotel Minneapolis, but this location is directly across the street from the Crowne Plaza as well.

The Lightrail is one option for our guests to get from the airport to Downtown Minneapolis. Note that our hotel is not directly on the lightrail route, but you should be able to reach either hotel through the skyway if you arrive during Skyway hours. This is for airport transportation only, the lightrail does not stop at our venue.

Lyft is a great option to get to and from the airport. An average&nbsp;Lyft between Downtown Minneapolis and the airport is around $30, but can depend on time of day and weather.

Mall of America is a classic Minneapolis attraction and a great place to spend&nbsp;an afternoon. Don't be deceived by the title of Mall, there's a children's theme park (Nickelodeon Universe), a movie theater, an aquarium, mini golf, an escape room, and a Crayola experience all within the walls of MOA. If you do have a shopping itch, remember Minnesota doesn't charge sales tax on clothing!

Zack and I are a little partial to this attraction, it's where we'll be getting married with all of you, our family and friends! There's much more to enjoy in this space than you'll be able to see during our reception, so we encourage our guests to come early and enjoy the museum before it's shut down for our wedding in the evening since we will only have a few exhibits open for our guests during the wedding.

This one is a restaurant, but if you're a fan of Bloody Marys or Mimosas, we highly recommend you check out the&nbsp;DIY Bloody and Mimosa bar at Hell's Kitchen for breakfast. This was one of the restaurants the Lindquists took Sierra to on her first trip out to Minneapolis.

Don't look at me like that, yes we are recommending a rooftop restaurant in Minnesota in January! They have a 4 seasons glass dome that covers their rooftop in the winter. We have to get our outdoors however we can in the Minnesota winters.

If you're willing to brave the cold, Minnehaha Falls is almost as beautiful in the winter as in the summer. The frozen Minehaha Falls&nbsp;become an ice feature in the winter months.

We should note that Paisley Park isn't near downtown Minneapolis, but is in a suburb called Chanhassen where the Lindquists lived for many years. For those that don't know, Paisley Park was Prince's home, recording studio, and&nbsp;concert hall. If you have a car and loved Prince, it's an exciting excursion outside of Minneapolis Metro.

If breweries are your thing, we could spend all day making recommendations in the Twin Cities. Lakes and Legends is near Sierra and Zack's house in Uptown, and is a short Lyft from our hotel block. If you need more suggestions, Surly, Summit, Sociable Ciderwerks, and Bauhaus Brew Labs are&nbsp;further away, but hugely popular.&nbsp;

Across from the Xcel where the Minnesota Wild play, the Minnesota Science Museum sits overlooking the Mississippi River. The Science Museum is an awesome spot to kids and adults alike to explore and&nbsp;learn something new. Be sure to check out the Sportsology exhibit and race a dinosaur!
