Our Story (Sierra's Version)

It started with psychology. The psychology of attraction, specifically. I took this as a college class one semester in 2019, where I unlocked the supposed secrets to scoring a spouse. Incredulous, I found myself on dating apps, testing the theories I so thoughtfully studied. I swiped. And swiped. And swiped. Until I didn’t swipe again, because I had found Tyler.&nbsp; The match was made, and he was quick to message, “I’m sorry if this is too forward, but you’re gorgeous *insert starry-eyed emoji here*” A date was set, we met, and the rest is a not-so-long-ago history in the delight of digital dating. Thank goodness for Tinder.&nbsp;

Where will the event take place?

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Historic Daniel Boone Home in Defiance, MO. The ceremony will be at the Chapel, and the reception will be at the Pavilion. The Old Peace Chapel is a bit of a walking distance from the parking lot. When you RSVP, please let us know if you have any mobility issues and we will try to accommodate you as best as we can by having a trusted family member shuttle you to the chapel. Please refer to the map of the Historic Daniel Boone Home below. Note that you will pass the Grand Pavilion on your walk to the Chapel.

What should I wear?

The dress code is Dressy Casual Attire. The reception venue is an outdoor pavilion, with a gravel path from the Chapel to the reception area, so we advise wearing comfortable footwear.

Who is invited?

Those invited are specifically named on the invitation sent to your mailing address. If you have a "plus one," they will either be named or listed as "(your name's) guest" on the invitation. If you do not see an additional guest on your invitation, yet you would like to bring one, let either Sierra or Tyler know. However, the ceremony venue has limited capacity, and we may not be able to include additional guests.
