Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Her Story

To be honest, we met long before our story really began. If you had told me back then that the man I asked about carrying a gallon of Crown in a milk jug (which turned out to be sweet tea) would one day be my husband, I would’ve called you a liar.

That first meeting came and went, and life moved on until years later when I finally got the courage to tell him I’d like to know more about him. In true him fashion, he hit me with “What do you wanna know?” completely missing the hint. That little conversation turned into a late-night whatty session in the Walmart parking lot, and somehow that led to my kidnapping and I haven’t left his side since.

From countless late-night talks and big back sessions to more ER trips than either of us would like to admit (thanks to me, of course), we’ve been through it all together. He’s been my calm, my safe place, my best friend, and the one person who always shows up no matter what.

It didn’t start with a milk jug, but it sure started with a lot of laughter, a little chaos, and the kind of love that just feels right. Now we get to make it official, surrounded by everyone who’s watched our story unfold, and begin the next chapter of our perfectly imperfect life together.

His Story

The first time I met her, she thought I was carrying a gallon of Crown in a milk jug. It was just sweet tea, but apparently that was enough to leave an impression. We went our separate ways after that, not knowing life would bring her back around later on.

Fast forward a few years, and she finally decided to shoot her shot. She told me she wanted to know more about me, and I, being completely clueless, said “What do you wanna know?” The next thing I knew, we were sitting in a Walmart parking lot having one of those late-night whatty sessions that somehow lasted for hours. I didn’t realize it then, but that was the night everything changed.

Since then, she’s managed to keep me on my toes with more ER visits than I can count, endless laughs, and enough memories to last a lifetime. She’s stubborn, hilarious, and somehow still the calm in my chaos.

What started as a random milk jug moment turned into the best thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn’t trade our story for anything, and I’m thankful every day that she never left after that “kidnapping.”
