The wedding ceremony will be a full Catholic mass starting at 2 pm. Due to this, you have all morning, and then some time between the end of mass and the cocktail hour. Here's some ideas to enjoy your time during the day!
Market Square and Gay Street behind it has plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you busy! From Coffee and Chocolate (one of our personal favorite coffee shops) to Tupelo Honey Cafe for brunch, there's plenty to do.
Another fun option for trying out places in Knoxville is to go right down the corner to the Old City, where you'll find Old City Java, and Olibea! Both fantastic options for what the area has to offer.
Looking for something a little more relaxed for your morning? Wild Love has some of the best pastries and coffees that Chris and I have ever had. (He LOVES the chocolate croissants). It's a more relaxed vibe, but it's always a great time.
Just as a note, the ceremony will end around 3 pm, but dinner will not be until 6 pm. So feel free to grab a snack, or check out some of these other fun options in the area!
Looking for something fun to pass the time until the reception? Check out Main Event! It's essentially a Dave and Busters. Go in, grab a snack, play a few games, and get excited for a a fun-filled night!
Part of the 1982 World's Fair, the Sunsphere is a quintessential part of the Knoxville skyline. You can go up inside and get a full 360 degree view of the Tennessee River, downtown Knoxville, and beyond. It's also a free!
We hope that by taking time to come out and celebrate our special day with us, you can also take some time for yourselves to enjoy this beautiful region that we both love.
This time of year is one of the most popular in the park due to the fall colors. There's plenty of hiking options, and you can even try out our favorite, Charlie's Bunion! If you aren't much for hiking, but want the views, check out Cade's Cove. It's a 14 mile drive through the park where you will most likely see some wildlife as well as some historical buildings from when the area was beginning to get settled. If you're a camper, camp sites do fill up quickly this time of year, so try and reserve as far in advance as you can through the park website.
Coming out a little early and wanting some fun? Check out Dollywood! It's our local theme park that has plenty to do with a whole lot of southern charm! And make sure to have a funnel cake on our behalf!
Want to have some outdoorsy fun without driving all the way to the Smokies? Check out Ijams Nature Center! They have plenty of walking paths and a quarry to enjoy.
Want to try kayaking or paddle boarding on the TN river? Give this a try! It's a fun afternoon experience, and the staff is so willing to help you out!
Need to relax a little after an awesome weekend? Check out Blue Ridge Yoga! It might be a little our of your way, but the staff and community here is amazing! You might even get a glimpse of Theo, the resident French Bulldog. This studio has a huge place in our hearts, and we'd love for y'all to check it out!
