Our Wedding

Over the last 10 years together (Yes, June 5th was 10 years!), Elliot and Sierra have cultivated a love for traveling, camping, backpacking, birding and playing board games, such as Yahtzee and Wingspan. They dote on their 15lb black cat, Otis Smokey Smothers.February 2015: Elliot &amp; Sierra first met in a Journalism class at Sacramento State University. Fun fact: Their first conversation was about almonds.June 5th, 2015: Their first date was sushi dinner and a Nico and Vinz concert at Ace of Spades. It was a so-so show but a wonderful night! Elliot walked Sierra to her door and kissed her goodnight and she fell head over heels.June 2016: They moved in together with a friend in Sacramento, CA. Sierra worked part time at In-N-Out Burger and began substitute teaching, while Elliot worked at a montessori school.Summer 2017: They went on their first road trip (a month long!), visiting National Parks starting in the Grand Canyon, Arizona and ending in Banff NP, Canada - On this trip they went on their first backpacking trips together in Zion NP and Glacier NP!December 2017: They moved into their first apartment together.April 2020: They both began school for their Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology.October 2021: They were both hired as Marriage and Family trainees at a nonprofit called Hearts and Hands Counseling.July 2022: Graduated Masters program &amp; became associate therapists!June 2023: Moved into a small duplex in Midtown Sacramento.October 2024: Elliot proposed at sunset while sitting on a rock overlooking the Grand Canyon!October 2025: They celebrated their wedding on a gorgeous fall day surrounded by family and friends!March 2026: They purchased and moved into their travel trailer!

Juanita and Sierra have been friends for almost 30 years!  They met in daycare and grew up doing practically everything together.  As kids Juanita looked so much like the triplets that she was known as the 4th triplet.  In college Juanita and Sierra lived together and both worked at In N Out Burger.  Thankfully they didn't kill one another over the damn couch pillow, so she could stand with Sierra on this most joyous day!
Juanita first met Elliot when the girls were living in Florida and working at Walt Disney World.  She gave her blessing and the rest was history!  Thanks Bay-Bay!

Sierra and Amanda met in 2014 on a retired cruise ship, the MV Explorer, while studying abroad with Semester at Sea. Even though there's 2,000 miles between them, they have stayed steadfast friends over the last 10 years.  Amanda and Sierra love going on trips together and running Marathons because those girls are plain Dopey!

Elliot met Mr. Kevin when they both worked at CMP in Shingle Springs together.  They became fast friends, even though Kevin and his wife Kaylee are SF Giants fans.

Elliot and Stuart have been good friends for over 20 years.  Stuart is the go-to friend for backpacking and other outdoor adventures.

We have a room block at the Oak Ridge Inn under Postler-Jones. It is best to call the Inn to book your room.

The room block is available until 7/31/2025, please reserve your room before that date.  At that time the Inn will open the rooms back up to the public.

Oak Ridge Inn (formally The Shenandoah Inn)

We do not have a room block here but it also close to the venue.

Rest - A Boutique Hotel

We do not have a room block here.The town of El Dorado Hills is about 30 minutes from the venue. It's Town Center offers options for shopping, eating and drinking, as well as a movie theater! They even have a Farmer's Market every Saturday (year-round).

Holiday Inn Express & Suites El Dorado Hills, an IHG Hotel

We do not have a room block here. Jackson is about 25 minutes from the venue.Jackson is a town of great history. It boasts of goldmines, museums, and places to eat from cafes to brew pubs.

We do not have a room block here. Sutter Creek is about a 20 minute drive from the venue.Sutter Creek is a cute old town with access to Bars - Antique stores - Museum - Shopping.

Friday, October 17th The rehearsal will begin at 4pm. Dinner and drinks will follow at 5pm.  If you’re family or wedding party we ask you arrive by 4pm for the run through.   If you are coming for food, drinks and socializing, come anytime after that!  Can’t wait to see you all!

Pictures from the Big Day

We have finally done it! At the end of January we bought our Outdoors RV and March we moved in full time. We spent two months in the Auburn Gold Country RV Park, then two wonderful weeks with our friends Matt and Lindsey in Red Bluff, CA, before making our way to our first boon-docking destination at Shasta Lake! We don’t know where we’ll be after this but we’re excited to see where our new life takes us!
