Sierra’s perspective: Before diving into how we met, let's catch up a bit. In spring 2022, Windsor returned home to help his dad on the family ranch and run South Central Crop Service in Carter, SD. Meanwhile, I was working at BankWest in Winner, SD. At the time, we were both in relationships, so I didn't put two and two together when Windsor drove through the drive through multiple times x week. One afternoon, as I left for lunch, I nearly got ran over by Windsor speeding to the drive through window – strike one, I was not impressed. A few weeks later, as I was leaving for lunch again, Windsor had his pickup and trailer blocking the drive-through, making it hard for me to get out – strike two, and I had formed my opinion at this point. Coincidentally enough, Windsor + I share a mutual friend who is a lot of the reason we’re here today. But that didn’t shy him away, he kept coming around, showing persistence. A few months later, we both found ourselves single, and I found myself spending more time on the reservation than I’d care to admit. The rest is history. Our story is nowhere near perfect however, it’s perfect to us in its own way. God had a plan for us, bigger than our own + we couldn’t be more thankful God chose us to spend forever with each other.
