Silas and Annie met in high school, long before they knew where life would take them. In 2016, during college, timing finally worked in their favor and a familiar friendship grew into something more.
Their first years together were shaped by distance—Annie finishing school at the University of Minnesota while Silas pursued a passion for design in California. Those two years of long calls, visits, and trust laid the foundation for a relationship built on intention and commitment.
After college, Annie moved west and the two spent the next chapter in California, learning how to share a life, adopting their cat Bowie, and settling into the rhythms of adulthood. In 2020, they returned to Minnesota, where life slowed down in the best way.
In 2024, they bought their first home together—a milestone that marked not just a place to live, but a shared future rooted in everyday moments, projects, and plans.
In August 2025, on a canoe camping trip to a remote campsite in Voyageurs National Park, Silas proposed. It was quiet, simple, and completely them.
Ten years together this year, Silas and Annie are excited to celebrate what they’ve built so far—and everything still to come—with the people who have been part of the journey.
