Silas and Mariah first met through Silas’s roommates, who Mariah was mutual friends with. Mariah was hanging out with Silas’s roommates when he walked into the room. He definitely caught her eye. Little did they know, they would connect again a year later when Silas made the first move. The two began texting until Silas invited her on their first date to the campus Chick-fil-a. The two quickly clicked and the rest is history.
Silas began by mentioning to his mom that Mariah was the one in early March of 2024. As proactive as he is, he had bought the ring by the middle of March a few weeks later. He’d planned to propose in the middle of July, but at the end of April, got news that he would be moving to Nashville for the foreseeable future. Silas knew he wanted to head to the Music City with a fiancé rather than a girlfriend. So Silas organized and planned a proposal, photographer, and found a reason to get Mariah to believe he wanted to do a photoshoot “just because” (Gullible, we know). The weekend came around and Silas and Mariah were taking their pictures when Silas had her facing away. He got down on one knee and waited for her to turn around. When she did, she immediately said yes and wrapped him up in as big of a hug as possible.
