Dearest family and friends, thank you for visiting our wedding site. It’s Lisa here, I’m so happy to share our story with you.

Simon and I met in grade 8 when I was “the new girl” in school. We shared the same friends throughout high school, and then parted ways to pursue the start of our adult lives.

Throughout the years, we’d run into each other and eventually became close friends living in Toronto.

In June 2016 we went out on our first date. We went for dinner, which turned into drinks, which led to us getting kicked out for being too loud. This is when we realized our shared interests in music, adventures, and of course our love for food. My knowledge of health and nutrition met Simon's passion for food and cooking; together, we're an unstoppable team in the kitchen.

It was easy, and from that day forward we have been inseparable.

We have a lot of fun together, some of our funniest memories include showing up to a concert fully ready to rock…only to find out that it was canceled…turns out we were the only people who didn’t get the memo.

Biking is beautiful in Toronto, and it’s something we do often. One time, after a day at Woodbine beach, we were biking up the (giant) hill on Woodbine, Simon leading the way, and I was struggling to keep up. This was a huge shot to my ego being a personal trainer, thinking I was “fit.” When we got home, Simon noticed that my brakes were locked on the wheels… I biked the whole way with brakes on. "Fit" after all! Sorry, Simon!

The summer of 2016 was when sparks were flying; beach days, basketball, and cottage trips became part of our regular schedule. In 2017 we went on our first trip together to Mexico. In 2018 we moved in together, in 2019 we adopted our dog Lucy, and on October 10, 2020, we got engaged.

Simon proposed at the cottage. It was a beautiful fall morning when I turned down every attempt Simon had to pop the question. After an afternoon of raking leaves and cottage chores, Simon got down on one knee and asked me to be his darlin’, forever. Of course, I SAID YES!

June is a sentimental month for us.

June 2016 was when our love story started, and June 2022 is the beginning of our next chapter. We are so excited to share it with you.

In Simon’s words, Lisa is his darling.

“Meeting up with Lisa after some years apart made me certain of one thing—I wanted to have her in my life. She’s a strong and determined woman, while kind and gentle. She sees the best in others and is one of the hardest working people I know. She thinks I’m funny, she has a great sense of humour, and lets me be me.” - Simon

In Lisa’s words, Simon is her rock.
