Charlene is like a sister to Simone. Born just six weeks apart, they have been best friends since they were babies. They grew up together in Mackenzie, BC, and have remained close despite Charlene pursuing her Doctorate in Chiropractics in Portland, OR. Charlene is a force to be reckoned with, the best cuddle buddy, and has put up with Simone despite her terrible childhood years that involved Charlene being spat on and sworn at by Simone. Simone's favourite memories with Charlene include their many escapades in high school together, such as the trip to Bamfield and their nights watching the OC, as well as the summers spent together in Mackenzie while home from university and working at the mills, and the trip to Portland in 2018!

Ali, aka Ali-cat, is also like a sister to Simone. They too grew up together in Mackenzie, and Ali also dealt with Simone's terrible childhood antics. Though being a year apart in school, Ali and Simone remained close, walking to school together every day and always getting into weird and embarrassing situations. Ali is a devoted friend and always up for adventure! After high school, Ali pursued her Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture in Nanaimo, BC, then later moved to Vanderhoof, where she married her husband, Fraser and gave birth to her son, Finley (with another due any day!) Simone's favourite memories with Ali include snowboarding, walking to school and going to the cottage togeher, and her trip to visit Ali on the island in uni.

Stacey is Simone's cousin, and the two became fast friends at the many Grimard family events in Saskatchewan and Crane Lake. Stacey has always had a heart of gold and is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Stacey lives near Cold Lake, AB, with her husband, Kyle, and two sons, Jacob and Ethan. Simone's favourite memories with Stacey include their One Flip Wonder flip cup antics at the Grimard reunion in Prud'homme, SK, attending Stacey's wedding in Mexico, meeting up in Edmonton, and just generally spending time together with Stacey's family and watching reality TV together.

Amanda and Simone actually met before Simone even knew Josh existed! Amanda is married to Spencer, who is Charlene's brother, and like a brother to Simone. Simone met Amanda on Amanda's trips to Mackenzie to visit her soon-to-be in-laws. Amanda has become a sister to Simone over the years, and has been an immeasurable support to Simone during her and Josh's relationship. Amanda has the biggest heart and loves with every ounce of who she is. Simone's favourite memories with Amanda include attending Arkells concerts (what are we at, 6 now?), crown land camping, and drinking rose.

Friends by fate, family by the grace of God, Josh got to know Derek at the Fercho family reunion. At first, Josh wasn't sure about Derek's good boy facade, but being the bad influence he was, Josh was able to lead Derek astray, and their bond grew through rounds of golf, road trips, nights on Whyte and their love of the Edmonton Oilers. Derek transformed from just being cousin Brenda's son and into one of Josh's closest friends. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the best man - Derek "I have to many nicknames" Johnston

"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down" (Oprah Winfrey). Mitchell, Mitch, Paul... I can safely say I've ridden in a lot more busses than limos with this guy. One of Josh's oldest and best friends, the two met each other in September 2001 at the beginning of the 6th grade. They are complete and total opposites who formed a friendship that has survived. Honestly, I could tell you countless stories the two of us have shared over the years, but I won't bore you... plus some of them may be used against us in a court of law. Very happy to have you in the starting line up, Pauly!

Josh was introduced to Chadd "the Mormon" by the best man, Derek. As soon as they met one other, it was instant magic. Both being equally bad influences on each other, it was decided that it would be best if Josh moved into Chadd's basement. Highly competitive in their relationship, they would complete all the time in games like chess, fooseball, pool, how high, darts, Mario cart, etc. Their competitiveness knows no bounds. To this day, they chat almost daily, whether it's a quick text or a phone call after work. Josh knows Chadd will always give an honest and straightforward opinion, something he really appreciates.

Dustin is Josh's eldest nephew, but if we are being honest, Josh has always looked at him as more of a little brother. With only a seven year age gap between them, they spent a lot of their time hanging out and growing up together when they were young. From snowball fights, to living room wrestling matches, camping trips that included napalming camp fires, to Josh ruining any sports related video games for Dustin (I am truly sorry for running up the score; I didn't realize it would traumatize you). Some of Josh's fondest memories with Dustin involve the dialogue, "don't tell Papa." Watching Dustin grow up from a Spiderman obsessed little boy into the strong caring man he has become has truly been special.

Hannah is our beautiful and loving little niece. Since she was born, she has been a happy wild-child. Our favourite memories with Hannah are tobogganing with her in our back yard and playing with moon sand together.

Finley is almost 3 years old and is full of personality! He certainly keeps his parents, Alison and Fraser, busy. Our favourite memories with Finley are holding him as a baby and watching him run around with our kittens, Leo and Ozzy.
