While scrolling through Hinge in November of 2022, Ryan swiped right on Simone even though he thought she was "way out of his league." Simone was going through her likes and felt drawn to Ryan's big smile and kind eyes (even though he had a beard and cat). Simone responded to Ryan's initial message, and they quickly set up their first date. They met at Smokey Row where they proceeded to have a coffee date that lasted over four hours! They discussed all the taboo things- religion, politics, timelines, families- and found they were on the same page on everything. After a hug goodbye, they went their separate ways, excited for what the future had in store for them.

For the second date, Ryan and Simone had lunch and watched "Ticket to Paradise" together. By the end of November, Ryan and Simone had made their relationship official.

In May of 2023, Ryan and Simone spent a week in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico together. They enjoyed the beach, music, food, and drinks together. They are eagerly awaiting their next chance to return as they haven't stopped thinking about the toasted almond drink they shared daily.

In November of 2023, Ryan moved in with Simone in her townhome in Johnston, Iowa. While they were a little cramped at times, they will never forget the time and memories they shared here.

In January of 2024, Simone took Ryan on his first cruise. During this trip, they got to swim with dolphins and enjoy the alchemy bar. There is sure to be many more cruises in the future.

In late November of 2024, Ryan proposed to Simone at Rotary Lights in La Crosse, Wisconsin. It was about -20 F° with windchill, and they couldn't feel their hands. When Ryan went down on one knee in front of the "Will You Marry Me" sign, the cold suddenly didn't matter.

In January of 2025, Simone and Ryan spent a week in Cabo, at a RIU resort. They enjoyed the warm weather, relaxing pools, delicious drinks, and good food. Ryan and Simone would love to return to Cabo with

friends and family some day.

In April of 2025, Ryan and Simone bought their first home together in Waukee, Iowa. While farther away from both of their jobs, they enjoy having a bigger space to eventually accommodate little ones. So far, they are loving their new home together.
