The Truffle Farm
The Truffle Farm is 15km from Canberra’s city centre, and the city centre is 11km from the airport. There are plenty of accommodation options available around the city centre, including both hotels and Airbnbs.
There’s no public transport (buses or trams) to or from the venue, but don’t worry — Ubers and taxis are available and easy to arrange.
Uber and Taxi's
Due to the Truffle Farm’s close proximity to Canberra, we’ve decided not to hire a bus for transport. Ubers and taxis can drop you off and pick you up directly from the venue. We’ll also arrange for a few taxis to be ready at the end of the night to help avoid any delays!
Accommodation
If you are travelling to Canberra, here are some recommendations for accommodation -
1. Vibe hotel Canberra Airport: This may be a good option if you're planning a quick trip to Canberra just for the wedding. The Vibe Hotel is within walking distance of the airport and just a 10-minute taxi ride to the wedding venue. However, please note that there are no restaurants or grocery stores nearby. Uber Eats could be your pre and post wedding food option if you stay here.
2. Anywhere in the City, Civic, or Braddon areas would be a great choice — especially if you don’t have a car. As shown in the photo, there are plenty of accommodation options in this area. You’ll also find lots of great places to eat and drink around Lonsdale Street in Braddon and Bunda Street in the City. The Canberra Centre, a major shopping precinct, is also located in the City. Some specific options in this area include:
- Mantra on Northbourne
- Novotel Canberra
- Quest Canberra
- Meriton Suites Canberra
3. There are also plenty of Airbnb's in this area, so be sure to check that out for further options.
