Our Story

How They Met Siobhan and Lukas met the modern way—by swiping right. After weeks of easy, effortless conversation, they finally met during Stampede 2021. That year didn’t exactly go as planned. When Siobhan’s friends decided to call it a night, she and one friend weren’t ready to stop the fun. One text later, Lukas showed up at Side Street Pub and Grill with a black eye from a softball accident. Despite the less-than-perfect first impression, they clicked immediately, laughing and talking like they’d known each other forever. The next day, Siobhan invited Lukas to her best friend’s birthday party. He came without hesitation, and from that moment, it felt natural. Since then, they have shared countless adventures—weekend getaways to Banff, destination weddings, trips around the world, and building a home together. Every step has been better because they’ve done it side by side. The Proposal Fast forward three years to their anniversary, Siobhan planned a surprise trip to Seattle, unaware that Lukas had a surprise of his own. After a beautiful dinner, they walked along the boardwalk and decided to ride the ferris wheel. While Siobhan was taking photos of the skyline, Lukas called her name. When she turned, he was on one knee. Caught up in the moment, Siobhan forgot to say yes, but no words were needed. In that instant, they both knew: this was just the beginning of the next chapter of their life together.

When and where is the wedding?We’ll be celebrating at&nbsp;Dreams Jade Resort &amp; Spa in Mexico&nbsp;on&nbsp;November 16, 2026. The festivities will take place throughout the week of&nbsp;November 12–19, 2026 Do we need to book our travel?Yes, guests should book their own travel, but we ask that all arrangements go through our travel agent, Keana at Love at First Travel. Mention Siobhan and Lukas’ Wedding when booking. Keana can help with flights, hotel-only options, room upgrades, and departures from different airports or countries. What is the dress code for the wedding?The dress code is Beach Formal. This means elegant attire that is comfortable for a tropical setting. For women, flowy dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy skirts with nice sandals are perfect. For men, lightweight suits or dress pants with a collared shirt and dress shoes or loafers work well. What should I pack?Pack swimsuits, sun protection, casual and dressy outfits, and shoes for dancing. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the pool, beach, and evening celebrations. Can I bring a guest?Your invitation will indicate if you are invited alone or if you have a plus one. If it says “and guest,” you are welcome to bring someone. If you are unsure, please reach out to Siobhan or Lukas for clarification. Are children invited?Children are welcome to join you for the trip but we just ask that our wedding day be child-free. Do we need to bring a gift?No, your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. We do not expect any gifts and are simply excited to celebrate with you. Will there be planned events during the week?We will kick off the week with a welcome party. The rest of the week is yours to enjoy. We have included some recommendations in the Things to Do section, but feel free to relax, explore, or soak up the sun. Final payments will be the&nbsp;remaining balance&nbsp;based on your package, due by&nbsp;August 18, 2026.
