Q + A

How do we get there?

Taos New Mexico is remote, but is more accessible than it may seem. We suggest different travel options.

Driving: If within a 6 hour drive from Taos, we suggest driving to the location. From almost every direction, driving to Taos provides a unique experience. If driving from the Denver area, consider stopping at the Great Sand Dunes National Monument to take advantage of the beautiful 4.5 hour drive.

Flying: There are three regional airports available to fly into Northern NM.

1. Santa Fe Regional Airport

Santa Fe Regional Airport is located 1 hour and 45 minutes south of our wedding location and is served by both United and American. Consider renting a car from Hertz or Avis for on airport service, although Enterprise is also available off airport. Consider arriving during the day to enjoy the 1 hour and 45 minute drive north boasting beautiful landscapes and historical sights. We are planning to offer a charter bus to the Santa Fe Airport with scheduled times TBD.

2. Albuquerque International Sunport

The Albuquerque airport, 2.5 hours south, is the closest major airport to Taos with all standard airport amenities, carriers, and rental car companies.

Valet and vehicle transportation services are also available from both the Santa Fe and Albuquerque airports. This may be price effective for larger groups. Please visit Santa Fe Valet https://santafevalet.com/ or Taos Rides https://taosrides.com/ for more information and pricing.

Attire

We're mixing it up. Feel free to lean into the western flair, but we won't kick you out if you show up in a tux, although it might get dirty. Men: Both business casual and western wear appropriate. This might mean darker jeans and jacket, no tie, or bolo tie, boots totally appropriate. Business casual attire welcome. Women: Long casual dresses, western flair encouraged. Bring a light jacket as it might be sunny and warm during the day but it will cool down at night. Heels not recommended due to sloped dirt and grass terrain in areas.

Will there be ubers available

Maybe. Taos can be hit or miss in this regard. But we do have many folks available for shared rides. Recommended to coordinate with a driver prior to imbibing. We are working on a potential option to assist with to and from lodging, but given the availability of these services in Taos, we're not holding our breath.

Am I invited to all events?

Yes! We're hanging for the weekend and would love to see you there. Feel free to stop by our venue (where we will be staying) at any time after friday at 2pm until sunday afternoon. Our Friday reception is on the Taos plaza.
