Our Wedding

Ethan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;grew&nbsp;up&nbsp;riding&nbsp;the&nbsp;bus&nbsp;together.&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;continued&nbsp;his&nbsp;education&nbsp;in&nbsp;Ignacio&nbsp;while&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;moved&nbsp;and&nbsp;continued&nbsp;hers&nbsp;in&nbsp;Bayfield.&nbsp;After&nbsp;graduation,&nbsp;they&nbsp;both&nbsp;began&nbsp;their&nbsp;separate&nbsp;journeys.&nbsp;Little&nbsp;did&nbsp;they&nbsp;know&nbsp;their&nbsp;story&nbsp;would&nbsp;soon&nbsp;begin. A&nbsp;few&nbsp;years&nbsp;flew&nbsp;by&nbsp;and&nbsp;in&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;moved&nbsp;back&nbsp;home.&nbsp;One&nbsp;day&nbsp;out&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;blue,&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;reached&nbsp;out&nbsp;and&nbsp;asked&nbsp;her&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;a&nbsp;date.&nbsp;They&nbsp;made&nbsp;their&nbsp;plans,&nbsp;and&nbsp;the&nbsp;night&nbsp;went&nbsp;pretty&nbsp;well.&nbsp;One&nbsp;date&nbsp;led&nbsp;to&nbsp;another&nbsp;until&nbsp;they&nbsp;became&nbsp;inseparable.&nbsp; On&nbsp;December&nbsp;25,&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;were&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;movies.&nbsp;He&nbsp;looked&nbsp;at&nbsp;her&nbsp;and&nbsp;nonchalantly&nbsp;said,&nbsp;"you're&nbsp;a&nbsp;great&nbsp;girlfriend."&nbsp;She&nbsp;stared&nbsp;at&nbsp;him&nbsp;and&nbsp;giggled,&nbsp;thinking&nbsp;he&nbsp;must&nbsp;be&nbsp;joking.&nbsp;He&nbsp;looked&nbsp;back&nbsp;with&nbsp;a&nbsp;smile&nbsp;and&nbsp;repeated&nbsp;his&nbsp;statement.&nbsp;It&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;that&nbsp;moment,&nbsp;she&nbsp;knew&nbsp;he&nbsp;meant&nbsp;what&nbsp;he&nbsp;said&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;even&nbsp;need&nbsp;to&nbsp;ask.&nbsp;He&nbsp;told... The&nbsp;first&nbsp;year&nbsp;flew&nbsp;by,&nbsp;leading&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;next,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;until&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;decided&nbsp;it&nbsp;was&nbsp;time.&nbsp;He&nbsp;knew&nbsp;what&nbsp;he&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;do,&nbsp;but&nbsp;thankfully,&nbsp;he&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;have&nbsp;to&nbsp;do&nbsp;it&nbsp;alone.&nbsp;Mike&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;to&nbsp;Skyla's&nbsp;younger&nbsp;sister-Sarah-as&nbsp;well.&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mike&nbsp;coordinated&nbsp;together&nbsp;to&nbsp;confront&nbsp;both&nbsp;Tanya&nbsp;and&nbsp;Charles&nbsp;to&nbsp;ask&nbsp;for&nbsp;their&nbsp;blessing&nbsp;to&nbsp;marry&nbsp;their&nbsp;daughters.&nbsp;Tanya&nbsp;and&nbsp;Charles&nbsp;were&nbsp;shocked&nbsp;and&nbsp;amused&nbsp;that&nbsp;they&nbsp;both&nbsp;did&nbsp;it&nbsp;together&nbsp;but&nbsp;were&nbsp;ecstatic&nbsp;to&nbsp;provide&nbsp;their&nbsp;blessing.&nbsp; A&nbsp;few&nbsp;months&nbsp;later,&nbsp;on&nbsp;April&nbsp;20,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;Ethan&nbsp;coordinated&nbsp;a&nbsp;trip&nbsp;to&nbsp;Denver&nbsp;to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;to&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;Nuggets&nbsp;game.&nbsp;Not&nbsp;only&nbsp;was&nbsp;she&nbsp;crabby&nbsp;the&nbsp;whole&nbsp;day,&nbsp;but&nbsp;she&nbsp;also&nbsp;had&nbsp;no&nbsp;clue&nbsp;what&nbsp;Ethan's&nbsp;true&nbsp;intentions&nbsp;were.&nbsp;He&nbsp;took&nbsp;her&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;game,&nbsp;secretly&nbsp;got&nbsp;down&nbsp;on&nbsp;one&nbsp;knee,&nbsp;had&nbsp;his&nbsp;best&nbsp;friend&nbsp;record,&nbsp;and&nbsp;then&nbsp;he&nbsp;proposed.&nbsp;Skyla&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;shock&nbsp;and&nbsp;couldn't&nbsp;believe&nbsp;that&nbsp;he&nbsp;still&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;even&nbsp;after&nbsp;how&nbsp;ornery&nbsp;she&nbsp;was&nbsp;being&nbsp;earlier.&nbsp;She&nbsp;obviously&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes&nbsp;and&nbsp;to&nbsp;top&nbsp;it&nbsp;off,&nbsp;the&nbsp;Nuggets&nbsp;beat&nbsp;the&nbsp;Lakers!&nbsp;Go&nbsp;Nuggets!
