Jacob picked the most beautiful spot to ask me to marry him! Don’t ask him to show you the proposal video because he will, and I will be embarrassed! He wanted me to stand at the peak of this rock, but anyone that knows me, knows how stubborn I can be. In Jacob’s words, “It was like herding stray cats.” After literally and figuratively falling for Jacob (and on some wet moss) I finally made it to the peak of the rock so he could ask me to marry him. <3

We first met when we were teenagers about 10 years ago. Mostly just acquaintances, we never actually hung out together alone. January of 2023, Skyla reached out to Jake to ask him to go eat with her one evening. What she assumed was just friends getting dinner, quickly turned into a whole lot more as the days went by and they became inseparable. If you were to ask Jacob, he would say that he tried years ago to get Skyla’s attention, but she would say he must have been very bad at flirting because she thought he was just being kind! So, long story short, Skyla asked Jake out!
