Skye and Pat met on an online dating site in the height of the pandemic, June 2020. Majority of their dates during the first year of dating were outside which laid the foundation for their relationship! They both share a passion for traveling and the outdoors. Each year, they go on a big road trip somewhere in the US.

Their love for the western mountains grew after their first road trip in 2022 to Colorado and Utah. This is where the dream of getting married in the mountains one day was born! Spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, and exploring national parks quickly became a shared interest and passion that continued to grow over the years. Skye and Pat visited the Grand Teton national park in the summer 2023, and both left agreeing it was one of their favorite places they had visited yet.
