It's tale as old as time: a "big" city girl falls in-love with a "small" town country boy… while on the job!

Skylar and Tommy's paths first crossed February 2022 while working a Kingdom Leadership Workshop. Tommy was a part of the Prayer Team and Skylar was coordinating the three day conference. There is no concrete evidence on who saw who first, each will tell you a different story, but they both agree that this was the moment they noticed one another. As time went on, the two of them would exchange looks while around the office, neither brave enough to say hi. They even attended a training on “The Science of People”, learning how to read people, but again they were still too nervous to speak to one another.

It wasn’t until May 2nd, the Monday of the next Kingdom Leadership Workshop, that Skylar DM’ed Tommy on Instagram (yep… another cliche). It was the smallest of conversations but it was the catalyst the two of them needed. On May 3rd, Tommy finally walked up to Skylar and started a conversation. The two continued to talk throughout the conference both in person and over the phone.

Tommy asked Skylar out to coffee and the two had their first date (pre-first date according to Tommy, since Skylar had shown up early to work on a presentation and purchased her own coffee) set for May 15th. After Skylar geeked out about her presentation, they spent 4 hours chatting the day away, and set in motion plans for the “official” first date ❤️
