Skylar and Shawn first met each other at Chubby’s Pumpkin Patch on October 16th, 2022. If you had seen them that day, you would have thought they had known each other for years. The two of them instantly clicked and sat on a little wooden bench and talked for three hours. The few weeks in-between from when they first saw each other, to when they started dating was filled with constant facetime calls and being together whenever they could. About three weeks later, Shawn asked Skylar to be his girlfriend on November 4th, 2022. The very next day he mentioned to Skylar someone in his family was getting married and asked if she would attend with him. Of course, Skylar nervously accepted the invitation realizing she was going to meet his entire family at once, so she immediately ordered a new dress to make sure she would look her best. Well, Shawn did quite the opposite and got the most horrendous haircut. He went from having perfectly swished and flipped hair to the shortest buzz cut possible. Skylar was appalled, and Shawn didn’t know what to do, but if you ask him, he will say it was a test to see if she would stay with him. All in all, it truly was love at first sight, as Skylar and Shawn started talking about getting married just after 3 months of dating. Now, a couple years later January 4th, 2025, Shawn got down on one knee, and Skylar said yes!
