Meeting at a random party that we were both hesitate to go to, he was one of the first people I met at the party. It wasn't until later in the night we really starting talking.

When our paths crossed again, with much of Chases doing I'd say haha, I ended up asking for his information and we were pretty inseparable the rest of that night. When we parted ways he asked me to come over the next evening so he could cook me dinner.

The following evening I went over to Chases apartment, and while we were eating the chicken he had made, I learned that in just a month he'd be going to Wyoming for the 4th and then returning home for a month. I couldn't believe it!

Fast forward that month it came time for Chase to leave for Wyoming and I had the crazy idea and asked if I could drive to Smoot, Wyoming for the 4th and spend it with him and his family on Jernie Ranch. Well I drove that 7 1/2 hour drive and met his amazing family.. I'm sure they thought I was crazy at the time.

As I traveled to California with Chase and learned his old stomping grounds, we often ventured to different beaches in Northern California. One of those beaches being the Mavericks Beach in Half Moon Bay. Our first experience at this beach we saw 35ft + waves and it was truly a surreal moment.

Moving right along to December of 2022, we were planning a trip back to see his family, visit the Mavericks and go their family Christmas party, it would be my first year attending, and little did I know with many many more to come!

When getting ready to go the beach on December 19th, I thought it was just going to be another trip of exploring and taking pictures on Chases camera.

Once we got to the beach Chase asked me to go out on the sand closer to the water so he could set up his camera and tripod (we had done this so many times in the past that I didn't think twice) as I had my back to him, he walked over to me and dropped to one knee and it me took me no longer than a second to say yes.

After we had our moment together, he told me that he planned for my family to fly out and they were back at the house waiting for us. We returned for a night of celebration with champagne and ice cream cake!
