Q + A

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be dearly missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Is there a dress code?

We would love to see our family and friends looking fancy! So get dressed up with us. We are requesting a formal/cocktail dress code for our evening. For women, this means cocktail/long dress. Men are expected to wear a traditional garment from Colombia called "guayabera". It is a light button-up shirt made of linen and cotton, perfect for the hot summer weather! Your "guayabera" should be white/beige and short-sleeved.

We found a "guayabera" that we like on Amazon for $24. You can find it here!

What can I give you as a wedding present?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. Should you wish to honor us with a gift, a monetary contribution towards our future together would be sincerely appreciated.

Can I bring a guest/+1 not noted on my invitation?

We have addressed the invitations to the people that we would love to come. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Please ensure that you are RSVPing for yourself and your guest(s) if they are also invited. Our wedding is our special day that we want to share with only our closest family and friends. We are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on our invitation. Thank you.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes! We have reserved a few parking spots near the MIT Chapel. For our reception, you can park your car in the Boston Common for $9 for the entire night. The Boston Common is right next to The Hampshire House!

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

There's a 1 hour + 30 minutes gap between our ceremony and reception. Please feel free to use this time to explore the beautiful city of Boston! We strongly recommend going to the Boston Common and the Public Garden, which are near the Hampshire House.

Could you suggest places to eat while I am in town for your wedding?

One of our absolute favorite questions! We have so many local recommendations for you. Pepper Sky's, Rami's, El Peñol, Orinoco, Barcelona Wine Bar, Il Patio di Eataly (strongly recommend during the Summer!), and Area 4 are among our favorites. Ask us in person if you'd like more recommendations!

Could you suggest places to see while I am in town for your wedding?

We love love LOVE long walks and museums! Don't miss a tour of MIT and be sure to walk from Cambridge to Boston through the Harvard Bridge (bonus points if you catch the sunset there!). Our first date was at the Harvard Museum of Natural History! Besides that, we highly recommend the Museum of Science and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (get your tickets in advance!).
