This story begins at Loyola University Chicago’s Crown Center where, on August 24th 2015, Ryan and Sofia met at their first college class – environmental science. Friends throughout their first few years at school, they enjoyed playing beach volleyball at North Ave, sipping 40oz lemonades at Fireplace Inn, cheering on all Chicago sports franchises, and attending Ryan’s brother’s wedding (as friends).

Ryan and Sofia shared their first and second official dates at Cheesie's Pub & Grub and Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse. They stayed busy in their last year of school with plenty of date parties and bar crawls. After graduation, they navigated the transition from student life into the working world as Sofia started her career in non-profit events and Ryan started in finance.

Shortly after graduation, Covid threw a wrench into everyday life. Ryan and Sofia persevered together and found new activities to keep busy. They tent camped at national parks, explored the Diversey Harbor, and honed their culinary skills.

Mid-2022, Ryan and Sofia started a new chapter and moved to New York City. They enjoy catching Ranger’s games at Madison Square Garden, Met’s games at Citi Field, and exploring the never-ending restaurant scene throughout Manhattan, including all the Taco Bells. They currently reside together in the Upper East Side.

On June 2, 2023, Ryan proposed to Sofia outside the building where they first met at Loyola University.

We can’t wait to embark on our next chapter and are ecstatic to officially celebrate with you all!
