Bring your passport and take a 20 minute ferry ride over to Helsingör from downtown Helsingborg for a visit to one of the most beautiful small cities in Denmark: Helsingör. There are two options for the crossing Öresundslinjen with departures every 20 minutes and Sundsbussarna with departures once an hour. Enjoy shopping, dining and sightseeing. Here are few of the Henry family’s favorites:
Kronborg Castle - a beautiful castle with an interesting history. This is where Shakespear’s Hamlet takes place.
Maritime Museum - an interesting look into Denmark’s maritime history. The museum is an architectural marvel built in the dry dock of the former shipyard.
Stenegade - Shopping on the 600 year old pedestrian street.
Brostræde Is - In our opinion, the best ice cream in the world! Grab one on your way back to the ferry.
Rådmand David Hus - Make a reservation and try some delicious smørrebrød.
