Q + A

Who initiated the first kiss?

Chandler did during the Mod Pizza date, we went to the beach at Lake Murray in his 2002 Cadillac with some cheesy line he can't remember.

Who was the first to say "I love you"?

That was Sofie, it was after dinner at his parents house, Chandler was walking Sofie out to go home and we were under a big tree and my parents house and Sofie said I love you and Chandler felt the same way!

When did Sofie and Chandler know they were "the one" for each other?

Chandler: I knew Sofie was the one during one of our trips to Myrtle Beach, I was sitting on the beach with Sofie and all I could think was "Man, I could really do this forever." I love how organized Sofie is, I love how she always thinks of potential pitfalls before doing an activity. I love her commitment to God, how she treats others and her always positive attitude. Sofie: The moment I knew Chandler was the one is when I realized that I found the guy who loves me the way I’ve always wanted to be loved. He pays attention to the details in our relationship, has the kindest and sweetest heart and has made it clear that he’s going to make his love known through his words and actions no matter who is around! I love him with all of my heart.

Do Sofie and Chandler like to travel?

We love traveling, we have been to many places together, including: Park City, Utah, Orem, Utah, Los Angeles, California, San Diego, California, Charlotte, North Carolina, Asheville, North Carolina, Atlanta, Georgia, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Isle of Palms, South Carolina and more!

How did Chandler propose?

It is actually a really funny story, the story takes place a few weeks before Christmas. Sofie knew that we were planning a trip with Emmie & Jerryd to Asheville, NC. Sofie was kind of catching onto the plan, so I had to tell her that Jerryd was actually proposing to Emmie... We went along with that plan for a few weeks, and the night before we were to leave for Asheville, I continued my research into things to do in Asheville. Upon my research I realized that the city of Asheville was without water, at this point my heart sank into the depths of my stomach, and I was trying not to freak out. I was on and off the phone with the poor receptionist at the hotel trying to figure out if they had water yet, and they still did not, at this point I was trying to figure out alternative places we could go, but I ultimately decided that we would go all in, and continue the original plan to the Biltmore in Asheville. On the way up I finally got confirmation that the water was back on, and we made it to the hotel in Asheville. Once we were at the Biltmore, and I was ready to propose, not 25 yards from us, another gentleman had just proposed to his girlfriend. This was the moment of feeling like "of course this would happen" and it was time to take a deep breath, and forget about the outside noise and carry out the Lord's will. When I proposed, I told Sofie that I loved her, and that I couldn't imagine my life without her, through the good, the bad and indifferent moments of my life I needed her for all of them. I told her that she was everything to me and I needed her forever. I said "will you marry me?" and she said yes!
