Our story begins during the summer of 2020. Of course we had known each other years before that, but this is where we will begin.
Covid was at its peak during this time. As awful as Covid was, it was the unexpected catalyst to our relationship. All of the gyms around our area were closed down. Being platonic friends at the time, I invited him to join me and my friend to my parent’s gym in their garage. This quickly became a steady five-days-a-week routine. None of us worked because we were all furloughed from our jobs, so life quickly became gym, food, sleep, repeat.
During this time we both developed feelings. It was very easy (have you seen Blake shirtless and sweaty!? How could you blame me). One thing led to another and we finally went on our first “official” date to Universal Studios. I remember joking saying we would give it a test run and see how we do in the real world. If it felt right, then we could continue to explore a relationship. We held hands that day for the first time and it felt RIGHT.
We officially started dating the next month and we haven’t looked back since. August 15th will be five years together and it’s truly flown by. There have been so many years of laughs, movies, cuddles with Oliver, theme parks, and Colorado (lol). We can’t wait to get married on November 11th and we look forward to celebrating with each and every one of you.
