We met when Soph joined the Melbourne Triathlon Club in early 2021

Bryan was plainly oblivious to Soph's interest, so she eventually asked him out on their first date in March 2021.

Not long after we started dating, Melbourne went back into lockdown so we decided to give living together a try in August 2021.

Soph was flying to Los Angeles for work, so Bryan jumped onboard and joined. After a couple of last minute changes to the plan, Bryan was finally able to ask Soph to marry him on April 14, 2023 at The Huntington Library gardens.

Our decision to elope is becoming a familiar story with many couples around the world. Some of those factors include cost of living, our hope to one day purchase a home, family all over the world, and wanting something that represents our simple and personal approach to life.

We had a small celebration with the rest of the crew of QF105/106 in Waikiki at the crew hotel. We look forward to celebrating with family and friends all over the globe.
