Our love story began at a much earlier stage than most! Here is the long story long.....

It all started back when our mothers, Dawn and Stephanie, met at school at 11 years old. They instantly became best friends, and have been ever since. However Dawn, Sophia's mother, moved to Georgia later in life leaving her and Stephanie in a long distance friendship. At 32, Dawn had Sophia and Stephanie had Riley. Dawn and Stephanie spent time visiting each other throughout the years from New York to Georgia and back, always bringing their children.

At around 8 years old, Sophia developed a "crush" on Riley that seemed to never go away...

The Swing and LaMarca families eventually began the tradition of sharing Thanksgiving together, which repeated for some time. The LaMarca family would also spend every summer visiting the Swings in Northport and Greenport for an extended period of time.

Sophia still had a small "crush" on Riley as they entered into their teen years. At 15, Riley caught on to this and expressed his feelings as well!

Time went on, and the two lived their separate lives, Sophia still growing up in Georgia and Riley in New York. They always remained in contact.

Freshman year of college, Rileys father Robert offered Sophia the opportunity to live with the Swings and work as an intern for the entirety of the summer in New York. She gladly and happily accepted.

This same opportunity was offered to her during her Sophomore and Junior year of summer break as well. Sophia and Riley then spent a great deal of time together. Greenport became a place they spent just about every weekend together.

After College, Sophia moved to New York to pursue her Masters Degree at Stony Brook University, while Riley was receiving his Masters Degree from Quinnipiac University. With Sophia now living in New York, Riley decided it was finally time to make this a real relationship.

After asking Sophia to be his girlfriend twice, she finally decided it was also time, and the two began dating. Sophia and Riley dated for 2 years, when Riley proposed on the beach in Greenport.

The Swings and The LaMarcas certainty already feel as close as family already, but look forward to being in-laws July 2025.

Salt Air Farm was the perfect location for the two as their love story truly began out east over endless summers on Long Island.
