Q + A

WHAT TIME SHOULD WE ARRIVE?

Guests are encouraged to arrive anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes before the ceremony begins at 4:30 pm. If circumstances arise and you are going to be a little late, please be conscious of when is an appropriate time to find your seat. The ceremony will be outside so sunscreen is encouraged to be put on before arriving if needed and refreshments will be available to all guests before the ceremony begins.

IS THERE A SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY?

Yes, the ceremony will begin at approximately 4:30 pm, followed by cocktail hour beginning around 5:00 pm with the reception to follow at around 6:00-6:30 pm. There will be a detailed program with the schedule given on the day of to every guest before the ceremony begins. This program will provide in-depth information pertaining to all the events of the Wedding Day.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

The weather will be on the warmer side and our wedding will be bright and colorful! If you are unsure what to wear we suggest dressing colorful; any pink, orange, yellow or blues will fit perfectly! We do ask to have you dress semi-formal. Please no jeans, hats, boots or tank tops. Hayden and I do want all of our guest to be comfortable, so no need to dress in something that you cannot dance in! We will be providing flip flops for the Dance Floor, we understand dancing in uncomfortable shoes! We do ask that guest stay from away wearing white.

CAN I BRING A PLUS-ONE?

There are a limited number of guests invited and due to capacity of our venue we may not be able to accommodate a plus-one unless your invitation/ RSVP includes a plus-one, no other guests are welcome to come with you. We have specifically planned for a certain amount of people so if the name is not on the RSVP list we kindly ask to not be contacted pertaining to extending other invites.

CAN I BRING MY CHILD OR A FAMILY MEMBER?

We have limited seating so unless the child/ family member is included in the RSVP we unfortunately will not be able to have them as a guest.

CAN WE TAKE PHOTOS/ VIDEOS OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM?

We are having an “Unplugged Ceremony” in which we kindly ask that no one has any type of electronic device out during the ceremony only. We ask for all phones to be silenced or turned off before the ceremony begins until the beginning of the cocktail hour. Hayden and I have worked very hard to be lucky enough to have two photographers and a videographer capturing our special day. This was a big expense on our part and we do not want any picture ruined by the chance of someone trying to take a picture or a video during the ceremony. So we kindly ask that you respect our wishes on our special day and do not try to sneak a photo or video during our ceremony unless directed by the Officiant otherwise. As previously mentioned, once the ceremony is over and the entire wedding party has walked down back down the aisle, you are more than welcome to bring your electronics back out.

IS IT APPROPRIATE TO ASK THE PHOTOGRAPHERS OR VIDEOGRAPHERS FOR CERTAIN SHOTS?

No, unless you have been told directly by the Bride and Groom otherwise, no one is welcome to ask the photographers or videographers to have their picture taken or be included in our wedding video. We mean this in the kindest way as we have worked with our photographers and videographers closely these past few months curating a list of certain photos and video shots that we want. Our photographers and videographers are there to capture our most special memories and we promise that everyone there will be included. We also would love to take a picture with every one of our guests throughout the evening so please ask us :) We appreciate so much your respect for us and our wonderful photographers/ videographers.

WILL THERE BE ALCOHOL?

Yes, there will be an open bar with champagne, wine, beer and seltzers. There will also be an option of a special drink picked by the bride and groom. The bar will also include non-alcoholic drinks such as pop, tea, coffee and water. We want to promote an environment that is accepting and respectful of everyone who does or does not choose to consume alcohol. We kindly ask that those who do enjoy alcoholic beverages to remain under the control of themselves and their actions throughout the evening. We ask that everyone drinks responsibly and has a ride available to travel safely home from the venue if needed. There will be children and underage minors so we do ask that everyone acts in a manner that is mindful and courteous to this age group. Lastly, there will be a glass of champagne with the option of alcoholic or nonalcoholic served to every guest for a toast during the reception that is on us.

WILL THERE BE ANY FOOD OPTIONS FOR DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

We will try our best, please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We hope to be able to accommodate everyone but cannot guarantee anything at this time.

WHAT IF ACCOMMODATIONS ARE NEEDED?

We want to accommodate our guests as much as possible including seating, safety, etc. If you have a physical disability or have trouble walking in the grass we will make sure to have seats that are easily accessible and there will also be ushers to help each guest get to their seat. We do ask that you contact us with any concerns you may have as we want all of our guests to be able to enjoy this evening with us without any worries.
