Chase and Sophia’s love story started back in high school, where two teenagers took a chance on each other and quickly fell in love. Although we ended up going our separate ways for a couple of years, life has a funny way of reminding you who you are meant to be with. (And practicing the signature Sophia Baker in notebooks wasn't a waste of time after all.) Now years later, that same last name is about to become real.


In August of 2020, Chase and Sophia became proud dog parents to Sarge, and later to his older brother, Pete. Since then, their little family has taken on new adventures -- Moving out of state for school, buying and renovating our first home in 2022, and building a life together in South Dakota. Chase became and electrician and Sophia became a radiation therapist.


This year brought another big change when they sold their first home (Bittersweet!) and settled into their new home in Aberdeen, where life with two dogs is anything but boring.


And then, on a cloudy cold day in June while fishing on our new favorite lake, Chase pulled off the perfect surprise proposal. He joked that it had taken him long enough, but the ring was worth the wait.


Now, after years of growing together, chasing dreams, and building a life they love, they can't wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife.
