Where do we begin? Our story started out like everyone's dream: as best friends!

Sophia and Evan had known each other for years but became closer at the start of high school. They finally had classes together and helped each other with schoolwork (aka, Sophia giving Evan homework answers) and bonded over sports.

As the years went on, they became even closer. In 10th grade, they shared AP Euro and gym class, spending hours together every day. They had no idea how close they'd become—constantly joking, texting, and always gravitating toward each other for class assignments. In fact, many people used to say they thought the pair were dating a whole year before their relationship began.

Sophia and Evan grew closer, and after receiving his license, Evan quickly started offering to take Sophia home after school (which meant she could skip the bus—yay!) and bring her food (he really knew the way to her heart). They would dance in class (and yes, they have video of this!), tease each other, and find any opportunity to hang out.

However, despite his efforts, Sophia was completely oblivious to Evan’s feelings. When he asked her to be his Valentine in 2018, she thought he was joking and responded with, "Ha, very funny!"—little did she know, Evan was just patiently waiting for her to catch on!

As school semesters changed, they no longer had classes together, which made it a bit harder to spend time as frequently. But don’t worry—Evan was persistent. After some months and a new school year, their friendship rekindled. One thing led to another, and Evan asked Sophia to Junior Prom, which she thought was just as friends. Little did she know, Evan would kiss her on the dance floor that night—and the rest was history!
