Since their freshman semester at Ole Miss in 2017, Sophia and Zack knew of each other but never actually met. After several bump ins at mutual friend's houses, tailgating in the Grove, and Sophia attending parties at Zack's house - it wasn't until fall semester in 2019 that Sophia and Zack had a class together and "officially" met.

At the end of the semester, Sophia talked to a mutual friend about her crush on "that Army ROTC kid from English" who then set them up on a group "blind" date.

Unknown to Sophia who she was going to meet on the group date, Zack knew he was meeting with her. Shortly after their group date, Zack asked Sophia to go on a real first date right before the semester ended in December 2019. After break, they made it official January 2020!

Zack proposed to Sophia in front of the Lyceum on campus in October 2023 during the Ole Miss v. Arkansas football weekend and the rest is history!
