We knew each other in high school but our paths never crossed. We had mutual friends and went to the same outings but never paid attention to each other, at least I didn't. Not knowing, Sophie had the biggest crush on me. After high school, we would run into each other at shivers or the gym, occasionally saying "hello" and "how's life". Then say, "it was good seeing you" and move on with our days, not knowing that she was going to be my entire life in just a few short years. In late 2020, I was in the bar scene, mostly to go line dancing. Fresh out of a long term relationship and trying to void whatever I was feeling. I posted on snapchat asking for someone to come dance with me, to which by surprise, Sophie offered to come dance with me the following week. I said "deal" and she left me on delivered till that following week. I messaged her that next Wednesday after much debate on messaging her. She told her co worker she had to go, clocked out, burned rubber home to get ready just so she could come hangout with me. That night changed my entire life. We had a great time, I walked her out to her car and then she left. When she left I wasn't sure if I was ever going to see her again but boy was I wrong. Snapchats turned into texts, texts turned into multi hour long calls and from there our story began.
